Allie Johnson
Services for Mr. Allie Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug.
14, 2004 in Simpson Baptist Church, Simpson, with Revs. Paul Watts
and James Miller officiating. Burial will be in Pine Island Cemetery,
Simpson, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home, Leesville.
Mr. Johnson, age 83, of Simpson, died Thursday, Aug 12, 2004 at St.
Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria. He was a lifelong resident of 
Vernon Parish. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and he
was a glider pilot in the 82nd Airborne Division. Survivors include
his wife, Ruthie Bennett Johnson of Simpson; son, William Pred Johnson
of Canyon, Texas; daughters, Betty Simmons of Simpson, Martha Hillman
of Simpson and Patsy Fontenot of Lake Charles; sisters, Evelyn Ellias
of Alexandria and Ruth Gandy of Gardner; six grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
