Edgar Johnson 
LCAP 3/16/2000 Sulphur - 
Funeral services for Edgar Johnson, 84, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, in 
Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerard Little will officiate. Burial will 
be in New Hackberry Cemetery. Visitation is 2-10 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. 
Friday. Mr. Johnson died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in Lake Charles. A native of 
Cravens, he moved to Hackberry in 1937 with the CCC Camp. He worked for Amoco in 
the oil field. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of First Baptist 
Church of Hackberry. Survivors include three sons, Edgar Lee Johnson of Angleton, 
Texas, Julius Andrew "Butch" Johnson of DeRidder and Cecil Aubrey Johnson of Houston; 
two daughters, Ella Marie "Sissy" Harris of Goldonna and Sandra Gay "Sandy" Reioux of 
Donbury, Texas; one brother, Durwood Johnson of Spokane, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; 21 
great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 
Edgar is retired from Amoco Oil Company as a roughneck, a mechanic and a leaderman.
