Pitkin - Services for Elbert Johnson will be at 3 p.m. today in Mt. Oliver Baptist Church with the Revs. John Everett and J.D. Ford officiating. Burial will be in Blue Branch Cemetery under direction of Hixson, DeRidder. Johnson, 74, of Anacoco died Sunday, March 15, 1998, in Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Alexandria. He was a native of Pitkin and retired from Civil Service at Fort Polk after working in the motor pool for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Johnson of Anacoco; two sons, Perry Johnson of Leesville and Paul Johnson of Atmore, Ala.; one daughter, Vickie Buxton of Oakdale; two stepsons, Nealon James of Anacoco and Gordon James of Rosepine; one brother, Wilburn Johnson of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Mollie Doyle, Melia Strother and Girlie Thompson, all of Pitkin, and Maggie Willis of Alexandria; eight grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be Timothy Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Thad Mancil, Shannon Mancil, Matt Mancil, Kevin James, Keith James and Jimmy James.
