Ned Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin under the direction of the Ardoin's Funeral Home of Basile. Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. today, Sept. 18, in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday in the church. Mr. Johnson died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Houma following short illness. He was a native of Pitkin. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Claiborne and Edwina Wisby Johnson; one sister, Gloria "Tootsie" Stephens, and one brother, Raymond Johnson. Survivors include his former wife, Priscilla Ahrens of Lafayette; three sons, Richard "Ricky" Johnson of Houma, Ronald "Ronnie" Johnson of Eunice and Royce Johnson of Basile; one daughter, Rachael Summers of Katy, Texas; three brothers, Loyd Johnson of Glenmora, Edward Johnson of Pitkin and Chris Johnson of Houma; five sisters, Audrey Droddy and Jewel Doyle, both of Pitkin, Norma Martin and Earlene Seals, both of Houma, and Christine Wright of Houston, Texas. The family requests in lieu of flowers, send memorial donations of Basile State Bank in care of Wallace Johnson.
