Funeral services for John Daniel "JD" Maddox, 74, of Rosepine, LA, will be at 10
A M, Monday, May 18, 2009, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder
with Rev. Hank Maddox officiating. Burial will follow in Whitaker Cemetery in
DeRidder. Visitation will be from 6 P M until 9 P M, Sunday, May 17, 2009, and
from 9 A M until time of the service, Monday, May 18, 2009, in Labby Memorial
Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Mr. Maddox passed away Friday, May 15, 2009, in Byrd Regional Hospital in
Leesville. A native of Cravens, Louisiana, he had lived in DeRidder for most of
his life. He was a retired self-employed logger and a member of Diamond Baptist
Church in DeRidder.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deana Brown Maddox of Rosepine; sons,
James Maddox of Leesville, John D. Maddox of Rosepine, Charles Maddox of
Leesville, Patrick Maddox of Hurst, TX, Darin Maddox of DeRidder, and Keith
Maddox of Hartford, IL; brother, Charles "Sammy" Maddox of DeRidder; seventeen
grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
