Funeral services for Marvis Maricle, 63, of Cravens, will be Tuesday, 
July 16, at 10 a.m. in Gravel Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Arlin 
Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery 
under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder. Maricle 
died Sunday, July 14, at 2:10 a.m. in his residence. He was a native of 
Pitkin, but had lived most ofhis life in Cravens. He was employed 
as a Lead Operator Shipper at Boise Cascade for 29 years and was a 
member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ima 
Rae Maricle of Cravens; his son, Michael Maricle of Rosepine; two 
brothers, Hartford Maricle Jr. of Cravens and Carvis Maricle of Pitkin; 
three sisters, Reba Johnson of Union Hill; Betty Walker of Delrio, 
Tenn.; and Jo Ann Johnson of Garland, Texas. Maricle also had two 
grandchildren. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until the time of the 
service Tuesday. Donations may be made to Gravel Hill Baptist Church.
