Gilbert William McManus was born September 18, 1931 in Dumont
New Jersey to William Gilbert & Ethel Dinesen McManus. He
married Jane Parker on December 18, 1965 in New Orleans
Louisiana.  

He fathered one son, Neil, accepted and raised from a very early
age Jane’s three children, Chere’, Lynda, and Robin; and lastly
raised one foster daughter, Lisa. He loved and considered them
all his children. He had 8 grandchildren and 4 great 
grandchildren.

Gil served in the United States Marine Corps in Korea. He was an
engineering manager for Boeing Aerospace Company on the Apollo
Moon Project in New Orleans and later transferred to Seattle
and Denver to work on other aerospace & governmental programs.

He retired in 1990.

Memorial services will be in Louisiana.
