Reid Mrs. Myrtle Dove Reid, the wife of Dr. W.E. Reid formerly of Leesville died at the home of her daughter in New Orleans Saturday morning December 24. She was 66. She was a native of Glenmora, and had lived in Leesville for a number of years, while Dr. Reid was a practicing physician in the area. Earlier this year a don W.E. "Skeets" Reid Jr., a well known jazz musician and owner of a record shop in Shreveport died. Services were held at 2 p.m., December 26 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home in Alexandria. Burial was in Fellowship Cemetery in Hinesville. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Cala R. Newsom of New Orleans; a son, Elmer Reid of Metairie; two sisters, Mrs. Glads Milam of Palo Alto, Calif. and Mrs Glynn Wallace, of Bell Flower, Calif.; a brother John E. Dove of Baton Rouge and nine grandchildren.
