Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Nederland with Rev. Malcom Monroe officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Beech Grove Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Monday, October 29, 2007 at Broussard's in Nederland. Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Vernon Parish, Louisiana and a resident of the mid-county area for 57 years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and baking and was especially famous for her teacakes. She will be remembered as one who gave love and friendship to all. She is survived by her daughters, Frieda Addison Hale and her husband Tom of Hemphill, Carnell Malmay of Port Neches and Sandra Porter and her husband Ronnie of Nederland. Nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ferguson; sons, Billie Earl Ferguson and Murdock James Ferguson; granddaughter, Rhonda Jame Porter and her sons-in-law, Ashby Addison and T.J. Malmay.
