Leesville - Services for Joshua Tippit will be at 10 a.m. today in the 
chapel of Hixson with the Rev. Tommie Smith officiating. Burial will be
in Welcome Cemetery, Simpson.

Tippit, 96, of Leesville died Thursday, June 10, 1999, in Byrd Regional
Hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of the Leesville/Vernon Parish area and was
a retired equipment operator.

Survivors include one brother, Marvin Tippit of Simpson two sisters,
Pearl Cooley of Slagle and Daisy Goins of Anacoco, six grandchildren,
22 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services today in the funeral 
home.
