Simpson - Services for Shirley Parker Tippit were at 4 p.m. Thursday in
Simpson Church of God with the Revs. Terry Adams and Raymond Cheeks
officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under direction of
Beauregard-Vernon, Leesville.

Mrs. Tippit, 77, of Simpson died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999 in Simpson.

She was a lifelong resident of Simpson and a member of Simpson Church
of God.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Tippit of Alexandria, one stepson,
Larry Hogue of West Monroe, two daughters, Brenda Vaughn of Dry Prong
and Kathy Houdeshel of Salt Lake City, Utah, one brother, Jason "J.J."
Parker of Alexandria, three sisters, Mary Partain of Gardner, Muriel
Hilger of Zimmerman and Lura Larkin of St. Maries, Idaho, eight 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
