She was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco and was the manager of Anacoco High School cafeteria where she worked for 28 years. Craft, 89, of Leesville died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital, DeRidder. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Burr Ferry/Vernon Parish area. He was a longtime member of the Cooper Baptist Church where he was the senior deacon having been ordained in 1947. He was employed by the Fort Polk Fire Dept. for 28 years as an assistant fire chief. He was preceded in death by his wife, Orelia Craft and one son, William M. Craft. Survivors include one son, Roy K. Craft of Mountain View, Ark.; one daughter, Jo Elizabeth Craft Jeane of Leesville; two sisters, Carolyn Craft of Burr Ferry and Vera Stephens of Rosepine; one half-brother, Huelin Craft of Leesville; one half-sister, Wanda Jewel of Texas; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Crescini will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Angelo Messina officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Alexandria, with full military graveside honors under direction of Hixson. Crescini, 74, of Leesville, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, in Byrd Regional Hospital, Leesville. He was a native of the Phillippines, a resident of the Leesville/Vernon Parish area since 1968, a lifetime member of the VFW Post #3106, a former member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He was a retired first sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving more than 26 years, including service in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Constantine and Pacite Crescini; and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Hettie S. Crescini of Leesville; two sons, Benjamin J. He was a native of Youngsville and a longtime resident of the Leesville/Vernon Parish area. He was retired from DOL-Transportation at Fort Polk and worked for American Moving & Storage Company in Leesville for 12 years. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a technical sergeant after 21 service during World War II, the Korean conflict and Vietnam War. He also owned and operated an antique shop at his home for over 30 years. Frazier, 59, of Leesville died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. He was a 1966 graduate of the University of Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1973, and was decorated for his service in Vietnam as a captain and cobra pilot. Also, he worked as an engineer and master planner. He worked as the housing manager at Fort Campbell, Ken., from 1973-1997. In 1997, he moved to Fort Polk to become the housing officer at the JRTC & Fort Polk. During his civil service career, he amassed a variety of performance and honorary award to include the Superior Civilian Service Award in 1977, Commander's award for civilian services, Outstanding Achievements, and professional Housing Manager. He was owner of Scogin Auto Parts, a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville and a member of the Board of Directors at Merchant and Farmers Bank. He was active in the American Legion Baseball Program and the Dixie Youth Baseball. Flo Howard LEESVILLE - Services for Flo Howard will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Hix-son, Leesville. Burial will be in Leesville Cemetery. Howard, 81, of Leesville died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, in Community Care Center. She was a native of Flo-rien and a longtime resident of the Leesville/Vernon Par-ish area. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1937 and received her bache-lor's degree and certification in elementary education from Northwestern State Univer-sity in 1953. She began work with the Vernon Parish School Board in 1951 and taught fifth-grade at both East and West Leesville Ele-mentary schools. She retired from teaching in 1977. She then went to work as a Media Center Coordinator for the Central Office of the Vernon Parish School Board. She was a member of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association and the Vernon Parish Retired Teachers As-sociation. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville. She co-owned and operated Howard's Laundry and Dry Cleaners for a num-ber of years with her hus-band. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confed-eracy and had worked for the Louisiana Department of Highways. Survivors include one son, John Thomas Howard Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; one daugh-ter, Tommye Lea James of New Orleans; three brothers, Leemon Hardin of St. Cloud, Fla., Ottis Hardin of Many and Harold Hardin of Hous-ton; four sisters, Reba Parrott and Thelma Miller, both of Many, and Shirley Stewart and Margie Brogdon, both of Florien; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Leesville/Vernon Parish area. She was a graduate of North-western State Normal College and was retired from the state of Louisiana after 32 years of service with the Welfare Department. She was preceded in death by her parents, M.M. Cotie and Hettie Lamberth; and one sister, Thoris Withers. Survivors include her husband, William M. Cowgill of Leesville; one daughter, Audrey E.
