I, Charlie LaCaze, of the Parish of Vernon, do hereby apply to enter under the provisions of Act No. 235 of the 
Legislature of the State of Louisiana, approved July 6, 1938, entitled " An Act to provide Homesteads for
actual settlers upon land adjudicated to the State for unpaid taxes due there on", the South half (S1/2) of Lots
Two and Three (2 & 3), W.H. Mathis Addition to Pitkin, La. of Section (blank) in Township No. (blank) of Range
No (blank) in the Parish of Vernon, containing 1 Lot Acres, and agree to pay the amount of taxes and costs for
which said land was adjudicated to the State, amounting to $.31 when when notified that said land is subject to
entry. Said property was adjudicated to the State for unpaid taxes of the year 1915 in the name of J.G. Hilton

I, Charlie LaCaze, of the Parish of Vernon, having filed my application No. 1451 for an entry under the provisions
of the Act No. 235 of Legislature of the State of Louisiana, approved July 6, 1938, entitled "An Act to provide
Homesteads for actual settlers on lands adjudicated to the State for unpaid taxes due thereon", do solemnly
sweat that I am a citizen of the State of Louisiana, and the head of the family, or twenty-one years or more
of age; that I make this entry for the purpose of actual settlement and cultivation; that said application is made
for my own exclusive use and bebefit; and not directly or indirectly for the use and benefit of ant other person,
corporation, or syndicate, to give them the benefit of the land or any part thereof or the timber thereon. I am 
not at this date the owner of as much as 160 acres of land in any State or territory.
