Davis Marriage Bond and Process Verbal of Marriage State of Louisiana Parish of Vernon Know all men by these Presents: That we, AR Cryer, Jr. of the Parish of Vernon, State of Louisiana as principal, and John M. Cryer of the Parish of Vernon, State of Louisiana, as security, are held firmly bound unto His Excellency, the Governor of the State of Louisiana, and [black out] successors in office, in the just and full sum of Five Hundred Dollars, for the payment whereof, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves and each of us, by these presents. Dated and signed at Leesville, Parish of Vernon, this 3rd day of July, AD. 1899 - Now, the conditions of the above obligation are such: That, whereas AR Cryer Jr. has this day obtained from the Clerk of the District Court. of the Parish of Vernon, a special license to contract marriage with Miss Ida L. Davis of said Parish; therefore, if no legal impediment exists against such marriage, then this obligation to be null and void; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in law. Witnesses: A.R.
