Davis and Miss Savannah Haymon Marriage Bond and Certificate State of Louisiana Parish of Vernon Know all men by these presents that we W.D. Davis as principal and John Watson as security are held firmly bound unto Murphy J. Foster Governor of the State of Louisiana and unto his successors in office in the full sum of Five Hundred Dollars for the payment whereof well and truly to be made we hereby bind ourselves our heirs and assigns firmly by these presents Dated and signed at Leesville Vernon Parish La. this 13th day of May 1893. Now the conditions of the foregoing obligations are such that whereas W.D. Davis, has this day obtained from the Clerk of District Court of said Parish a special License to contract marriage with Miss Savannah Haymon should there by no legal impediment against such marriage this bond to be null and void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in law.
