Davis and Miss Harriet Hull Marriage Bond and Certificate State of Louisiana Parish of Vernon Know all men by these Presents: That we W.W. Davis as principal and J.M. Scarber as security are held and firmly bound unto Murphy J. Foster, Governor of the State of Louisiana,and unto his successors in office in the sum Five Hundred Dollars for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, wehereby bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns, firmly by these presents. Dated and signed at Leesville, La. Nov. 24th, 1897. The conditions of the above and foregoing obligation are such that whereas the above bounded principal, W.W. Davis, has this day obtained from the Clerk of the Dist. Court a special License to contract marriage with Miss Harriet Hull. Now should there exist no legal impediment to said marriage, then this bond to be null and void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect in Law. Attest: W.W. Davis W.W. Stephenson J.M.
