Loftin Marriage Bond and Process Verbal of Marriage State of Louisiana Parish of Vernon Know all men by these presents that we C.H. Davis as principal and T.J. Davis as security are held firmly bound unto Murphy J. Foster Governor of Louisiana and unto his successors in office in the just and full sum of Five hundred Dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made we hereby bind ourselves firmly each of us by these presents. Dated and signed at Leesville Louisiana this 1st day of Sept. 1899. Now the condition of this obligation is such that whereas C.H. Davis has this day obtained from the Clerk of the Dist Court a special License to contract marriage with Miss Mary C Loftin Therefore should there exist no legal impedment to such marriage then this obligation to be null and void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in law.
