Hubbard and Benie Davis Marriage Bond and Certificate State of Louisiana Parish of Vernon Office of Clerk Dist. Court. Be it known, That we Charles C. Hubbard as principal, and Jno. M Walker as security,are held and firmly bound unto Murphy J. Foster, Governor of Louisiana, and unto his successors in office, in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars,for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we hereby bind ourselves, heirs and assigns firmly by these presents. The conditions of the above and foregoing obligation is such that, whereas, the above principal has this day obtained from the Clerk Dist. Court a special License to contract marriage with Miss Bensie Davis. Now should there exist no legal impediment to said marriage, then this bond to be null and void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect in Law.
