Dickens Marriage Bond State of Louisiana Parish of Vernon Know all men by these presents, that We James McCullough as principal and T.M. Tucker Jr as security are held firmly bound unto Murphy J. Foster, Governor of the State of Louisiana and unto his successors in office in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made we hereby bind ourselves heirs and assigns firmly by these presents. Dated and signed at Leesville, La. this 8th day of April 1895. The conditions of the foregoing obligations are such that whereas the above principal has this day obtained from the Clerk of District Court a special license to contract marriage with Miss Alpha R Dickens; should there exist ? legal impediment to said marriage ? these this Bond to be null and void or else of full force in law.
