J.D. Pettaway and Josephine Tucker Marriage Bond and Certificate
State of Louisiana
Parish of Vernon
Know all men by these presents that we J.D. Pettaway as principal and
J.B. McCullough as security are held and firmly bound unto Murphy J.
Foster Governor of the State of Louisiana and unto his successors
in office the sum of Five hundred dollars for the payment whereof well
and truly to be made we hereby bind ourselves our our heirs and assigns
firmly by these presents.
Dated and signed this 29th day of Nov 1893 at Leesville La.

The conditions of the above obligation are such whereas the above bound
principal has this day obtained from the Clerk of District Court a 
special License to contract marriage with Miss Josephine Tucker
Now should there exist no legal impediment to said marriage then this 
bond to be null and void or else to remain in full force in law.
