Brister State of Louisiana Parish of Vernon Know all men by these Presents: That we, Isaac Watson, of the Parish of Vernon, State of Louisiana, as principal, and W.D. Williams of the Parish of Vernon, State of Louisiana, as security, are held firmly bound unton His Excellency, the Governor of the State of Louisiana, and unto his successors in office, in the just and free sum of Five Hundred Dollars, for the payment whereof, were and truly to be made we bind ourselves, and each of us, by these presents. Dated and signed at Leesville, Parish of Vernon, this 26th day of May, AD, 1899. Now the conditions of the above obligations are such: What, whereas, Isaac Watson has this day obtained from the Clerk of the District Court, of the Parish of Vernon, a special license to contract marriage with Miss Ella D. Brister of said Parish; therefore if no legal impediment exists against such marriage, then this obligation be null and void; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in law.
