"L. A. & C. A. Brumfield - 189O" is engraved on the cover in gold lettering.
Mr. Brumfield had ordered the Bible, and when it was delivered, he refused to
pay for it, so Mr. Nathaniel W. Pigott purchased the Bible for $5.00.
