Thomas Jefferson Simmons b. Sept. 26, 1827 md. May 18, 1862 d. Jan. 6, 1879 Copied from "Bola Chitto" Simmons book by W. W. simmons The above Thomas Jefferson Simmons was a farmer and school teacher. Captain in La. Militia in civil War. Was elected to State Legislature of La. 1878, but died Jan. 6, 1879 at Franklinton, La. the day he was to have been seated in State Legislature. He married Elizabeth Fendlason, twin to Norman Fendalason. There were children of Daniel Fendlason of South Carolina and Catherine McLain, also of South Carolina. Elizabeth Fendlason b. Oct. 15, 1841 d. Mar. 9, 1928 Seven children were born to this union. Two of these died young. Other five chronologically listed with their families: (nothing was listed) In 1885 his widow married Ben T. Fisher. He died Oct. 17, 1913
