MINUTES OF THE 14th ANNUAL SESSION IF THE BOGUE CHITTO BAPTIST ASSOCIATION,
Sept 15, 1883,

Emanuel D. Varnado… was born in Barnwell Dist., SC., Jan 16, 1807; moved to
the Mississippi Territory in 1811.  In 1828 he was married to Miss Sarah
Simmons.  Joined Beulah Baptist Church, Washington Parish, LA in 1837.  In
1838 he went into the constitution of the Mt. Zion Church where he remained a
member.  He died Oct. 20, 1882, aged 75 years, 9 months and 4 days.  MT. ZION

T. A. Moak… was born in Pike Co., MS, Dec 9, 1839.  He was married to Miss
Julia Sasser, Oct 3, 1866.  He united with Mr. Pleasant Church Sept 23, 1871,
and was elected Clerk.  He died Dec 18, 1882; he leaves a wife and 6 children.
MT PLEASANT

Eliza Schilling… was born in the State of GA., Aug 5, 1809; moved to
Livingston Parish, LA, when small and thence to Washington Parish.  She was
married to Michael Schilling in the fall of 1825, was baptized into the
fellowship of Mt. Hermon Church by Eld. W.J. Fortenberry,  Nov 12, 1864.  She
died Aug 23, 1883, aged 74 years, 18 days.  She leaves 3 son and 3 daughters,
besides grand children and great grandchildren.

M.M. Moak… was born in Pike Co., MS. On May 10 , 1847; married Francis Sasser…
Jan 2, 1865; united with Mt. Vernon Church, in 1883, remained there until he
moved his membership to Mt. Pleasant.  He died April 5. 189.  He leaves a wife
and children   MT. PLEASANT

Quincy C. Shilling…. Won of E. M. and E. E. Shilling, was born June 1, 1877;
died Feb 17, 1895; was baptized into the fellowship of Silver Springs Baptist
Church July , 1891.  Services were conducted by Bro. J. N. Fortenberry.  He
leaves a father and mother, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.  SILVER SPRINGS

J. D. May…. Was born Feb 2, 1852; joined the church at Bogue Chitto., Pike
Co., MS on July 8, 1872.  Moved from there to Moak’s Creek Church.  He died on
Apr. 14, 1894.  He leaves a wife and 7 children  MOAK’S CREEK

Fielding Dunaway…. Was born may 2, 1811, joined the Bogue Chitto Baptist
Church July 1844.  In 1884 he drew out and went into the organization of Enon
Baptist Church.  He died July 5, 1895.  ENON
