I understand you have a file in the Archives on Hardy Richardson. Could you send me a list of the datta in this file, as well as the charge for having it photostated? Where could I find Old newspapers of Bullock Co., Georgia? Hardy Richardson was Justice of the Peace in Bullock Co, Ga. 1806 when he resigned. Evidently to come to Louisiana. 1807 his brothers Benjamin and John received passports but there was no mention of Hardy. It is said that the wagon train was held up for two weeks because Hardy Richardson was bitten by a rattlesnake from which he died. Am wondering if he died in Georgia and if there might be an account of it in a newspaper? It looks like he would have gotten a passport otherwise, since his brothers did. I have found records of Phaney or Fanny in Louisiana but cannot find Hardy. Unfortunately the Washington Parish courthouse burned. ... Signed Doris Green For those who like to collect autographs, the Bulloch County loose papers also contained some old handwritten affidavits signed by citizens claiming damages due to marauding Indians or Creek Indians, including affidavits signed by: John Douglass as J.P. on the affidavit signed by Luke Mizell dated 11 April 1803 as to the loss of a mare in 1778. Signature of Benjn Richardson, J.P. on the application for passport dated September 23 1807. On 18 October 1802 Mrs. Sarah Richardson made affidavit as to losses from the Creek Indians, but she signed by a mark. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tidbit #3 In Book K page 192 in Camden County, there is a Deed of Gift from Charlton MIZELL of Camden County to his children (minors) - dated Aprl 13, 1819: Sally B.
