Poole of near Franklinton, for whom Poole’s Bluff was named, has the distinction of having more grandsons in France than any other resident of Washington parish. Seven of this grandsons were in France at one time, one not having returned yet. None of the seven were injured, but were in the thickest of fighting. Mr. Poole, who is now past 80 years of age, is in perfect health and is going to try to attend the big celebration on November 11, which will be held in Bogalusa for the boys who were in service.
