She was surrounded by a happy home and loved ones with a large circle of friends who loved her very dearly and will miss her sadly. She was the sunshine of the home and member of the Methodist church. In rendering up of life she displayed a beautiful and wonderful degree of Christian faith in the dispensation of Providence. She expressed herself as willing to go, while, as she said, she had a happy home and kind and indulgent parents, brothers, and sisters, and friends whom she loved and for whose sake she would like to live, yet she was not afraid to die as she was assured of eternal rest in heaven. Sunday night before she died she called her parents, brothers, sisters, and the friends who were nursing her and kissed them all good bye, admonishing them to be good, and leave message to her brother in New York and other friends to show that she remembered them in the last hours of her life.
