She was a homemaker and a member of Elizabeth Sullivan Memorial Methodist Church in Bogalusa. She has been a member of the Olive Chapter Eastern Star in Illinios for the past 56 years. Survivors include three step-children, John O. Waldrop of Denham Springs, Carol Ann Henk of Omaha, NE and Hugh Waldrop of Las Vegas, NV; a sister-in-law, Verna Raye Wheat of Bogalusa; eight step- grandchildren; and 16 step-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Alice Fierst; her first husband, Henry Strahan; her second husband, Jack E. Waldrop; a son, Richard Strahan; a step-daughter, Jewell Boyd; and a step grandson, Terry Dedeaux. Visitation will be today at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home at 1 p.m. with a funeral service and Order of Eastern Star following in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Nelson, 57, a resident of Clifton, died at 6:50 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Biloxi. He was a real estate agent, a member of Clifton baptist Church and a Past Master of Franklinton Lodge 101. Nelson was preceded in death by his father, James J. Nelson. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Grace McVay of Green Acres, WA.; his wife, Sara Bateman Nelson of Clifton; a daughter and son-in-law, Hilaria and Chris Broadwater of Hammond; three sisters, Pat Boudreaux of Pemberton, NJ., Sharon Lea Foster of Spokane, WA. and Delores Nelson of Mt. Holly, NJ. and two brothers, James J. Nelson Jr. of Mt. Holly, NJ. and Wayne Eugene Foster of Colorado. Neslon is also survived by his mother-in-law, Erlane Batemen of Clifton; a sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Jimmy Magee of Clifton and numerous nieces and nephews. Womack, 78, a resident of New Orleans and a former resident of Bogalusa, died yesterday at 5:30 p.m. in his home. He was born to the late Albert D. Womack and Alia Brumfield Womack in 1921, and was a retired car dealer, served in the Marine Corps during WWII, a member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church, a master mason of Center Lodge #244 F & AM, Royal Arch Mason, Knights Templar, and Shriner in the Destrehan Lodge. Survivors include four sons, Brad Womack of Slidell, Bert Womak of Metairie, Gary Womack of Slidell, and Stan Womack of Picayune, MS; a sister, Clotee Womack of Bogalusa; and three grandchildren, Jayme, Mark and Benjamin, all of Slidell. Born in Franklinton, he lived in Baton Rouge for 40 years as a supervisor at Dixie Electric Corporation in Baton Rouge until he retired to Franklinton. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Thigpen; daughter, Wanzie Morgan of Covington, son-in-law, Paul Morgan; three grandchildren, John and Jennifer Morgan of Ruston, Stacey and Kenny Fletcher of Harrisburg, PA, and David Morgan of Dallas, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Maggie and Molly Morgan of Ruston, LA, and Ashley and Kelly Fletcher of Harrisburg, PA. He attended Devry Institute of Technology where he earned his master's degree in electric engineering in Atlanta, GA. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Paugh Robinson of Las Vegas; two sons, Harold L.
