Mary Stafford Nassauer (Died July 28, 2003) COVINGTON n Mary Stafford Nassauer, 77, a resident of Bogalusa, died yesterday in Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington. She is survived by a daughter, Melba Nassauer of Bogalusa; two sons, Charles "Chuck" Nassauer of Bogalusa, and Wayne "Zeke" Marvel of New Orleans; a sister, Myrna Barrios of Buras; three grandchildren, Christine Nassauer of Covington, Shelly Broome of Slidell, and Wendell Marvel of Utah; and special friends, Chris and Eric Capo. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles John "C.J." Nassauer; her parents, Sigsby Stafford and Wilma Wheat Stafford; her son, G.C. Lillian Inez Pigott Miley (Died July 28, 2003) FRANKLINTON n Lillian Inez Pigott Miley, 80, a native and lifelong resident of Washington Parish, died yesterday in Riverside Medical Center. She was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church in the Pine community. Survivors include two sons, Melvin William Miley of Wiggins, MS, and Luther Rubin Miley of Franklinton; four daughters, Lois Elaine Miley Boone and Margie Marie Miley Swan, both of Angie, Linda Diane Miley Strahan and Gracie Christine Miley Maduna, both of Bogalusa; a sister, Shirley Pigott of Pigotts Crossing; 27 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. William Russell Stogner (Died July 24, 2003) HOUMA n William Russell Stogner, 66, a resident of Houma and native of Bogalusa, died at 11:49 a.m. Thursday. He was a U.S. military veteran. He is survived by his wife, Kil Seong Stogner; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Harvey Authement and Lisa and Terry Babin; two sisters and their husbands, Aline and Earl Fussell and Maxine and Doyle Hines and one brother and his wife, Gloria and Theodore Stogner Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Bennett and Theodore Stogner Sr.; two sisters, Dorothy Stafford and Ernestine Taylor and one brother, Earl Stogner. HERMON n Alta Mae Schilling Morris, 94, a resident of Mt. Hermon, died at 6:25 a.m. Sunday at Riverside Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and the widow of Clyde Morris. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Judy Morris of Mt. Hermon; a step grandson, Robert Clark of Hammond and numerous nieces and nephews. Marjorie Bundy Hines (Died July 26, 2003) BAKER - Marjorie Bundy Hines, 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday at 5:33 p.m. at her residence in Baker. She was a retired registered nurse with years of devoted service at Woman's Hospital and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A native of Marion County, IL, she was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, with the rank of second lieutenant and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal. A member of Faith Baptist Church, she blessed many people's lives with handmade afghans that she lovingly gave. She will be sadly missed. Family members said he will be sadly missed by sons, Mickey Smith of Dallas, Texas, Kory Smith of Los Angeles, CA, and Roland Smith of Bogalusa; a daughter, Karin Landro of Eagle Rock, CA; sisters, Viola Gabriel of Albany, OR, Yvonne Polk of Bogalusa, Selma Roach of Anaheim, CA, Faye Fulton of Dallas, and Annie Carruth of Baton Rouge; a brother, Ronald Smith of Memphis, TN; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Crain (Died July 18, 2003) BOGALUSA - Born Feb. 22, 1915, in Dekalb, IL, to Virgil and Mable McGlashan, Hazel E. Crain died Friday after a long illness. Her family said she was a devoted wife to her loving husband, the late W. Ray Crain, and a cherished mother and grandmother to her devoted children and grandchildren. She was forever constant in her love and support of her family and friends, they said. She was also a faithful member of the First Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Workers. Velma Magee Robbins (Died July 18, 2003) BATON ROUGE n Velma Magee Robbins, 91, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, died Friday in Lakewood Quarters Nursing Facility in Baton Rouge. Born Aug. 18, 1911, she was a longtime resident of Angie, a member of Angie Baptist Church, and was active in many community organizations including the garden club and Eastern Star. Cole Robbins of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her father, Elton Magee; her mother, Bertha Talley Magee; a brother, Doyle Magee; a sister, Eunice Magee Moss; and her husband, William H. Robbins Sr., former principal of Angie High School, who died in 1985. Crain (Died July 18, 2003) BOGALUSA - Born Feb. 22, 1915, in Dekalb, IL, to Virgil and Mable McGlashan, Hazel E. Crain died Friday after a long illness. Her family said she was a devoted wife to her loving husband, the late W. Ray Crain, and a cherished mother and grandmother to her devoted children and grandchildren. She was forever constant in her love and support of her family and friends, they said. She was also a faithful member of the First Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Workers. Survivors include her daughters, Gretchen and Vicki; five grandchildren, Gerry, Lisa, George, Carmen and Travis; seven great-grandchildren, Wesley, Ashley, Zachary, Cory, Kara, Alise and Ethan; three brothers and sisters, Pat, Harriet and Robert. Evelyn Mary Dussor Arceneaux (Died July 19, 2003) FRANKLINTON - Evelyn Mary Dussor Arceneaux, 80, a native of New Orleans and resident of Franklinton, died at 1:45 p.m. yesterday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the widow of Linden J. Arceneaux. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa A. Adams of Franklinton and Trudy A. Pecoul of Indian Valley, VA; two sons, David Arceneaux of Mandeville and Michael Arceneaux of Des Allemands; three brothers, Edwin Dussor Jr. of Franklinton, Henry Dussor of Covington and Joseph Dussor of Metairie; one sister, Joan Ellison of Covington; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Edwin H. Dussor Sr.; brothers, August and John Dussor; and a sister, June Wallace. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanie Matthews, Vikki (Hilton Sr.) Taylor, and Arescia Gay Bickham of Franklinton; four sons, Ronald (Dorothy) Bickham, Dolyal Bickham of Jackson, MS, Darryl (Winifred) Bickham, and Kendall (Gwendolyn) Bickham of Franklinton; a granddaughter she reared, Shawuntele Bickham of Slidell; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mary Warner Barnes (Died July 14, 2003) BOGALUSA n Mary Warner Barnes, 59, a resident of Mack Street in Bogalusa, died Monday in the LSU Medical Center in Bogalusa. She was a member of The National Science Teacher Association, the Gaylord Community Advisor Panel, was a Southern University alumni, and a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Rejoicing in her memories but mourning her passing are her husband, Jim Barnes of Bogalusa; her son, Mark Laron Barnes of Baton Rouge; her mother, Wilhelmina Carson Warner of Bogalusa; two sisters, Faye (Roscoe) Warner Crump of Bogalusa, and Anita Marie Warner of Houston, TX; seven brothers, Charles (Regina) Warner of New Haven, CT, Clyde (Mary) Warner of Houston, Robert (Linda) Warner of Ponchatoula, William (Evata) Warner of Hammond, Aubrey (Janice) Warner, Darrell (Glenda) Warner, and Albert Warner of Houston; four sisters-in-law, Helen McAdory Warner of Jackson, MS, Marvine Barnes of Seattle, WA, Mona (Ed) Anderson and Gail (Harry) Gethers, both of Los Angeles, CA; three brothers-in-law, Bobby Barnes of Seattle, John Barnes and Phil K.
