Hermon, died at 8 a.m. yesterday in Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and the widow of Emmett Carter. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Glynn Morgan of Franklinton; a granddaughter, Gwyn Gober of Franklinton; two great-grandchildren, Jeffery Gober and Heather Gober; and a brother, Cecil Painter of Franklinton. Also preceding her in death was a grandson, Jeffery Morgan; a brother, Norman Painter; and three sisters, Elmer Schilling, Elvie Booty, and Audie Gill. Visitation will be held at Crain Funeral Home today from 5-9 p.m. and will continue after 9 a.m. tomorrow until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Dr. Joe Baugh and the Rev. Sammy Smith will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery. Dorothy Marylou Phelps McGehee (Died June 16, 2003) BOGALUSA n Dorothy Marylou Phelps McGehee, 64, a resident of Bogalusa, died yesterday in her home. She was a loving mother and care giver for many years. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Michael Shelton and Pat McGehee of Wasilla, AK, and Johnny Wayne and Kathy Crosby of Foxworth, MS; three daughters, Adrienne Clement and her husband Larry, Carmen Turnage and husband Julius, all of Bogalusa, and Ann Enke and husband Bob of Montgomery, IL; brothers, Eugene Phelps and wife Jimmie, Edward Phelps and wife Kathleen, Bobby Phelps and wife Donna, and Ray Phelps, all of Bogalusa; sisters, Maxine Creel and husband Leroy, Annell Jones and husband Willie, and Wilda Cochran and husband Fred, all of Bogalusa; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends; and a special sister Judy Miley and her son Tod Miley both of Varnado. Preceding her in death were her parents, Howard and Guyzelle Phelps; a son, Joseph Latroy Crosby; a brother, David Phelps; and two grandsons, Eric McGehee and Dustin Crosby. Visitation was held yesterday at New Life Pentecostal Church from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the church today at 1 p.m. The Revs. Otis Pierre, Wesley Quave, and Johnny Wayne Crosby will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Apostolic Holiness Church Cemetery in Foxworth, MS. Pallbearers will be Justin Branch, Jonathan Crosby, Johnny Allen Crosby, Joseph Crosby, Delton Lacey, Christopher Rawles, and Dewayne Crosby. Brown-McGehee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Madeline Burns Carr (Died June 18, 2003) COVINGTON n Madeline Burns Carr, 84, a resident of Bogalusa, died today in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. Janell Jenkins (Died June 18, 2003) BOGALUSA n Janell Jenkins, 61, a resident of the Rio community, died this morning in the LSU Medical Center in Bogalusa.
