She was a member of Elizabeth Sullivan Memorial United Methodist Church in Bogalusa. Survivors include her husband, Claude E. "Nunny" Carr of Bogalusa; a daughter, Sherry Carr Sigler of Sun; a sister, Wilmuth Burns Ayers of new Orleans; and a granddaughter, Madeline "Maddy" Sigler of Sun. Preceding her in death were her parents, James Howard Burns and Bertha Elulia Talley Burns. Visitation will be held tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. The Revs. Hulen Warren and Alan Einsel will officiate at the service. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery. Margaret Janell Hill Jenkins (Died June 18, 2003) BOGALUSA n Margaret Janell Hill Jenkins, 61, a native of Tylertown and a longtime resident of Bogalusa, died yesterday in her home. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and a licensed practical nurse for 30 years. She was a hospice nurse with Hospice of St. Tammany. Survivors include her husband, Dorman Jenkins of Bogalusa; two sons, Scott Magee of Franklinton and Mike Magee of Hammond; a daughter, Theresa King of Bogalusa; her parents, Oree Hill of Franklinton and Minnie Passman Brumfield of Franklinton; three brothers, Devoy and Joel Hill, both of Franklinton, and Jimmy Hill of Jackson, MS; five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death was a son, Eric Magee. Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home today from 5-10 p.m. and will continue at Memorial Baptist Church tomorrow from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. The Revs. Ed Jenkins and Jimmy Albritton will officiate at the service. Interment will follow in Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery. Mildred M. McLaurin (Died June 18, 2003) FRANKLINTON n Mildren M. McLaurin, 84, a resident of Franklinton, died at 5:35 a.m. yesterday in Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Born May 1, 1919, she was a member of First Baptist Church, the widow of Joseph A. McLaurin, and an active member for over 50 year with the Noble Queen No. 45 Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Carter and Cheryl McLaurin of Franklinton; a granddaughter, Mallery McLaurin of Franklinton; a grandson, Jeremiah McLaurin of Franklinton; and a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Charline McElveen of Franklinton. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Dan and Alice Foil McElveen; three brothers, Robert, Allison, and D.L. McElveen; and two sisters, Aline McElveen Crain and Maxine McElveen Sumrall. Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today and tomorrow from 8 a.m. until the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Dr. Jerry Barlow and Rev. Jerry Cox will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Ellis Cemetery.
