She is survived by her mother, Alfreida Magee of; maternal mother, Vikki Bickham (Hilton) Taylor Sr. of Franklinton; paternal father, Eddie (Dominique) Bruce Watson Jr. of Oakland, CA; eight sisters, Shayla Bickham, Fallon Bickham, Cyd Talley, Melanie Tate, all of Franklinton, Nichole Flot of Abita Springs, Tamika Bearden of Houston, Texas, Janessa Anchrum of Oklahoma, and Breanna Johnson of Bakersfield, CA; five brothers, Kendrick Lampley, Tony Bickham, both of Bogalusa, Desmond Watson of California, Damion Watson of New Orleans, Eddie Watson of Bakersfield, CA; maternal grandmother, Helen Bickham of Franklinton; paternal grandmother, Thelma Watson of Bogalusa; a God child, Jada Laurent of Covington; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held tomorrow from 2-6 p.m. followed by a wake service until 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Winan United Methodist Church with Rev. Terrence August, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Winan Cemetery Esther Mae Johnson Guidry (Died May 10, 2003) RACELAND n Esther Mae Johnson Guidry, 45, a native of Des Allmends and a resident of Raceland, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday. She is survived by her husband, Sterling J. Guidry Sr. of Raceland; her mother, Mildred Johnson of Folsom; three sons, Adam Doucet of Franklinton, Clint Blanchard of Robert, and Barry Blanchard of Slidell; 10 stepchildren, April Rodrigue, Elena Paredes, Stephanie Matte, Felecia Robertson, Hazel, Tessie, Sterling A., Sterling V. and Sterling J. Guidry, all of Houma, and Joseph Rogers of Ohio; four brothers, Sammie Johnson of Leesville, Daniel, Linny and Christopher Johnson, all of Folsom; four sisters, Shirley Eshermin of Mt. Hermon, Verlie Bounds of Franklinton, Frances Kelly of Alabama, and Kathy Brewer of Mississippi; six brothers-in-law; and five sisters-in-law; a granddaughter, Samantha Doucet of Franklinton; and seven step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Lum Johnson Jr.; and two brothers, Walter and Joelane Johnson. Visitation will be held at Crain Funeral Home after 8:30 a.m. tomorrow until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Ed. Story. Burial will follow in the Rainey Cemetery in Folsom. Joseph W. Thomas (Died May 7, 2003) BOGALUSA n Joseph W. Thomas, 74, a resident of John Johnson Road in Bogalusa, died Wednesday in his home. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Thomas of Bogalusa; two brothers, Curley (Ora) Murphy, and Willie (Bennie) Murphy, both of Bogalusa; two sisters, Frances (Marshall) Magee of Bogalusa; three sisters-in-law, Mary Washington, Dorothy Burkhalter, and Myrtis Burkhalter, all of Franklinton; a brother-in-law, Robert Burkhalter of Franklinton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Visitatioln will be held tomorrow at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa from 2-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Tree of Life Baptist Church in Bogalusa with the Rev. Willie J. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery. David Ward Thurman Sr. (Died May 11, 2003) BATON ROUGE n David Ward Thurman Sr., 58, a resident of Denham Springs, died Sunday in Our Lady of the Lade Hospital in New Orleans. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David W. Jr. and Michelle Thurman; four brothers, Donald Wayne Thurman, Gregory Thurman, both of Bogalusa, Roy Gene Thurman, and Albert Thurman, both of Picayune, MS; three grandchildren, Garrett Thurman, Tristen Thurman, and Landon Thurman, all of Denham Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David Houston Thurman; his mother, Katherine Hope; and a daughter, Deena Lynn Thurman. Visitation will be held today at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. The Rev. T.J. Wright will officiate at the service. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
