He is survived by two sons, Kurt James Danos Jr., and Kevin Joseph Danos, both of Franklinton; six daughters, Cynthia Eitmann of Covington, Clarissa Owens of Varnado, Karris Danos, Amber Danos, Bethany Danos and Katelynn Danos, all of Franklinton; his mother, Viola Danos of Franklinton; a brother, Gary Danos of Franklinton; six grandchildren; and his fiancé, Annette Phillips of Franklinton. Visitation was held Friday at Crain Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until the memorial service, which was held in the funeral home chapel at 8 p.m. The Rev. Eric Williams officiated at the service. James Slaydon (Died May 11, 2003) SLIDELL n James Slaydon, 88, a resident of Slidell, died Sunday in Slidell Memorial Hospital. He is survived by nine children, Jerry Andrew Slaydon of Bogalusa, Robert James Slaydon of Slidell, Gary Slaydon of Pearl River, Clara Gayle Slaydon of Slidell; William Terry Slaydon of Pearl River, Archie Gennis Slaydon of Slidell, Opal Dickerson, Sheila Barnes, and Lynnwood Slaydon, all of Picayune, MS; a brother, Charles Slaydon of Livingston, Texas; two granddaughters, Sherrie Slaydon and Patty Crawford; and three great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Ashley Fornea, and Kristian Crawford. He was preceded in death was a daughter, Shirley Annette Slaydon. Visitation will be held today at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune with a family hour from 5-6 p.m. The family will receive guests from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held tomorrow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mark Kinchens will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Old Palestine Cemetery. Tim Alan Applewhite (Died May 14, 2003) BOGALUSA n Tim Alan Applewhite, 46, a resident of Bogalusa, died yesterday in the LSU Medical Center in Bogalusa. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Jennifer Applewhite of Bogalusa; his mother, Betty Applewhite of Bogalusa; a sister, Emily Applewhite of Bogalusa; a granddaughter, Kayla Applewhite of Bogalusa; and a niece, Brooke Applewhite of Bogalusa. He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Applewhite. Visitation will be held today at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. and will continue tomorrow from 9 a.m. until the chapel funeral service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jimmy Albritton will conduct the service. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
