He was born August 21, 1981 in Bogalusa and was a shrimp boat deckhand. He is survived by his father, Alcus Roy Baughman, Sr. of Franklinton; his mother Donna Faye Primes LePine of Franklinton; a daughter, Jazmin Baughman of Chauvin; a grandmother, Patsy Barber of West Monroe, LA; a brother, Alcus Roy Baughman Jr. of Mountain Grove, MO; three sisters, Tammy LePine of Franklinton, Stacey Delancy of Foxworth, MS and Emily Delancy of LaRose, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Brooks. Visitation was at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 am until time for funeral service at 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiated. Interment was in the LePine Cemetery. Margie Curter Miller, 76, a resident of Mt. Hermon, died Wednesday afternoon, July 30, 2003 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, TX. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and the widow of J. D. Miller. She is survived by a son Allen Miller of Kennelec, TX; three daughters, Faye Lavelle Cannon of Ponchatoula, Sybil McQueen of Hawthorne, NV, and Veronica (Ronnie) Welch of Mt. Hermon; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Mac McGehee of Mt. Hermon. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 pm until 9 pm Saturday and after 12 noon Sunday. A funeral service was held at 2 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Hearn and Dr. Joe Baugh officiating. Pallbearers were Jewel Cannon, Brian Cannon, Bennie Dowder, Larry Dowder, Cody Brewer, and Brent Guidry. Interment was in the Miller Cemetery. Frank Ford Roberts, Sr., Baton Rouge Frank Ford Roberts, Sr., 90, a resident of Baton Rouge died at 9:45 am Sunday, August 3, 2003 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Jayess, MS and a former resident of Bogalusa and New Orleans. He retired from Polk Chevrolet in 1982 and after 24 years as comptroller. He was also a U.S. Army World War II veteran serving in the South Pacific Theater as a Captain in the 38th Army Division. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of the Briarwood and Shenandoah Country Clubs, a member of the Southside Civic Association and A. A. R. P. He is survived by four sons, M. Stephen Roberts of Houston, TX, Frank F. Roberts, Jr. and wife Juliana Musselwhite Roberts of Baton Rouge, William Kent Roberts and wife Martha Bankston Roberts of Alexandria and Michael L. Roberts and wife Jacqueline Messina Roberts of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren, Caroline Roberts Galiano, F. Ford Robert III, Shannon Roberts Hunt and Kaysie Roberts; and three great-grandsons, Mason R. Galiano, J. Nichlas Roberts and Nathan Roberts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Magee Roberts and an infant son, Randall Magee Roberts. Visitation as at the Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge from 6 pm until 9 pm Monday, August 4 and from 9:30 am until time for funeral service at 11 am on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Ellis Cemetery on Saturday, August 9 at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the "World Missions Program" of the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1309, Baton Rouge, LA 70821. Kenneth A. Crowe, Franklinton Kenneth A. Crowe, 48, a resident of Franklinton, died at 9 pm Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. He was a retired U. S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by three sons, Coy Crowe of Vandenbert AFB, CA, Kenneth Crowe, Jr. of Abilene, TX and Tom Crowe of Minot AFB, ND; a daughter, Jana Lineweaver of Abilene, TX; his mother Yvonne Meyer Crowe of Franklinton; three brother, Clifford Crowe of Spring, TX, Wesley Crowe of Franklinton and Coy Crowe, Jr. of Shelbyville, KY; and four sisters, Debra Smith of Tylertown, MS, Dorinda Magnuson of Ocean Springs, MS; Yvette Brewer of Moreno Valley, CA and Coylean Gilmore of Franklinton. He was preceded in death by his father, Coy Crowe. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home after 9 am Thursday until time for funeral service at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Pallbearers for the service were Mr. Crowe's sons and brothers. Interment was in the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, where he was given a 21 gun salute by an Air Force Honor Guard. The American Flag was presented to his family. Alta Mae Schilling Morris, Mt. Hermon Alta Mae Schilling Morris, 94, a resident of Mt. Hermon, died at 6:25 am Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Riverside Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and the widow of Clyde Morris. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Judy Morris of Mt. Hermon; a step-grandson, Robert Clark of Hammond; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Vera Hudson, Lee Smith, Bessie Merritt, Pearl Schilling; and three brothers, Clay Schilling, Ray Schilling, and Lewis Schilling. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 pm until 9 pm Monday and after 8 am Tuesday. A funeral service was held at 10 am Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Hearn officiating. Pallbearers were Robin Burch, Rocky Burch, Sherman Burch, Mark Craft, Arell Merritt, Drew Oswald and George Bateman. Interment was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Linda McElveen Cooper, Mt. Hermon Linda McElveen Cooper, 60, and a resident of Franklinton died at 5 pm Monday, July 21, 2003 at Riverview Apartments in Franklinton. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Rodney Davis of Kentwood and Sharon and Darryl Mizell of Franklinton; two sons and daughters-in-law: Andy and Malynda Cooper of McComb, MS and John and Lisa Cooper of Franklinton; three brothers, James Donald McElveen of Baton Rouge, Monroe McElveen and Woodrow McElveen both of Franklinton; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mamie McElveen; a son David Ellis Cooper; and a brother, John Henry McElveen. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home after 6 pm Tuesday until time for funeral service at 2 pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Clyde Cooper, Rev. Otho Schilling and Rev. R. C. Branch officiating. Pallbearers were Gary Thomas, Kevin Creel, Todd McElveen, Richard Bennett, Ray Crockett, Billy Anderson, and Torry Richous. Interment was in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
