All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Burdette Castleberry, Magnolia Burdette Castleberry, 70, a former resident of Pine, and now a resident of Magnolia, died at 7:45 pm Monday, December 8, 2003 at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb. He was a retired employee of Fischer Exterminating. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law. Reggie and Kim Castleberry and Jeremy and Jessica Castleberry, all of Bogalusa; two grandsons, Mitchell Castleberry and Devin Castleberry; a special friend, Ann Reeves of Magnolia; three brothers, Frank Castleberry, Jack Castleberry and Roy Lee Castleberry; and four sisters, Opal, Ione, Hazel and Wanda. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 6 pm until 9 pm Tuesday, and after 9 am Wednesday. A funeral service was held at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Marlin Gipson and Rev. Barry Duncan officiating. Burial followed in the Acy's Creek Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mitchell Castleberry, Devin Castleberry, Daniel Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Alan Thomas, Hollis Barber and Dr. Kyle Magee. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Christine Barber Goings, Mt. Hermon Christine Barber Goings, 82, a resident of Mt. Hermon, died at 6 am Monday, December 8, 2003 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Bogue Chitto Baprist Church. She is survived by four sons, Felder Goings, Billy Ray Goings both of Mt. Hermon, Paul Goings of Tylertown and Ronald Goings of Kentwood; three daughters, Thelma Bryant of Franklinton, Cathy Spears and Debbie Rohner both of Kentwood; 29 Grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildre; and one great- great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband A.T. Goings, a daughter, Frances Thomas; a son, Lonnie Goings; two grandsons, Jeff Thomas and Rusty Goings; and a great-granddaughter, Krystal Goings Tetreau. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 6 pm until 9 pm Monday and after 8 am Tuesday. A funeral service was held at 11 am Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Joe Wiggins officiating. Burial followed in the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rickie Thomas, Arlie Goings, Tim Goings, Clint Spears, Jeff Thomas and Alan Goings.
