"Red" Williams, 54, a resident of Franklinton died at 6 am Friday, July 11, 2003 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was a heavy construction specialist and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Williams of Franklinton; two step-children, Dan Phillips of Franklinton and Vicki Jones of Tallapoosa, GA; his mother, Cora Williams of Lacombe; a brother, George Williams of Lacombe; a sister, Vera James of Lacombe; and numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Williams Sr. and a sister, Shirley Giardelli. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 pm until 9 pm Monday and after 12 noon Tuesday. A funeral service was held at 1 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Glenn Bond, Rev. John Inabnit and Rev. Harry Goynes officiating. A graveside service was held at 3:30 pm Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell. Pallbearers were Ben Thomas, Jay Penton, Wayne Sumrall, George Williams, Scott Williams, and William Pascall. Roy J. Rodriguez, Richardson Community Roy J. Rodriguez, 60, a resident of the Richardson community died at 6:50 am Saturday, July 12, 2003 at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington. He was owner/operator of the Richardson Store for many years and also served as Constable for Ward 9 for 16 years. He was also an entertainer and musician. He is survived by his wife, Edith Bahm Rodriguez of Franklinton; a daughter, Suzanne Addison of Folsom; four grandchildren, Joey, Jody, Rebecca and John Houston Addison; two brothers, Richard Rodriguez of Covington and George Rodriguez of Folsom; two sisters, Delores Stansbury of Mandeville and Pauline Ingram of Folsom; his mother-in-law , Inez Bahm of Franklinton; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances and Gil Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, Polite and Annie Mixon Rodriguez; and two brothers, Robert and Joseph Rodriguez. Visitation was at the Crain Funeral Home after 9 am Monday until time for the funeral service at 3 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers were Cole Dillon, Joey Addison, Jr., Bob Bateman, Roger Morgan, Jimmy Erwin, and Scott Ingram. Honorary pallbearers were Willie Dillon and Tom Addison. Interment was in the Fisher Cemetery. Earnest "Junior" Smith, Franklinton Earnest "Junior" Smith, 64, a resident of Franklinton died at his residence on Tuesday, July 15, 2003. He was born December 26, 1938 in Columbia, MS, the son of the late Earnest Daniel Smith and Janie Alice Johnson Smith. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Bogalusa, LA. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two children, Allen Dale and Glenda Smith; one grandchild, Payon O'Bryant; two brothers, C. K. and Earl Smith; a sister, Addie Lee Turnage. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Statham Smith of Franklinton; two sons, Daniel Smith and Denford Smith both of Pine; four daughters, Ann Smith of Bogalusa, Brenda Broom of Columbia, MS, Ruby Fish of Foxworth, MS and Betty Ginn of Columbus, MS; two brothers, Jewel Smith of Bogalusa and James Smith of Thomas; a sister, Gladys Smith of Bogalusa; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation was on Wednesday, July 16 after 12 pm in the Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown, MS. A funeral service was held at 10 am Thursday from the chapel of the funeral home with Reverends Wesley Quave and Shane Giavrosich officiating. Interment was in the Turnage Chapel Cemetery. Patrick Charles McDaniel, Wilmer Patrick Charles McDaniel, 62, a resident of Wilmer died at 1:45 am Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at his residence. He was a member of the Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church. He was a former dairyman and an employee of Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Commission in Hammond. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by his wife, Lynda B. McDaniel of Wilmer; two daughters, Brenda Walker and Dawn Williams both of Wilmer; three sons, Timothy McDaniel of Hayward, CA, James McDaniel of Wilmer and Sidney McDaniel of Cleveland, TX; his mother, Nezalee B. McDaniel of Wilmer; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Robert "Bob" McDaniel and Richard McDaniel both of Wilmer; and two sisters, Bonnie Rae Waskom of Stoney Point and Sherry Graham of Wilmer. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Monroe McDaniel and his first wife, Carolyn Bankston McDaniel. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 6 pm until 10 pm Wednesday. Visitation continued after 10 am Thursday at Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service was held at 2 pm Thursday at the church with Eld. Brent King officiating. Pallbearers were Mike Waskom, Cary Graham, Shane Graham, Jody McDaniel, Scott McDaniel, and Robert McDaniel. Interment was in the church cemetery. Eunice Pittman Addison, Franklinton Eunice Pittman Addison, 87, a resident of Franklinton died early Wednesday morning, July 16, 2003 at Riverside Medical Center. She was the widow of James D. Addison and a member of the Jehovah's Witness. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Cern and Jackie Addison of Franklinton; a granddaughter and spouse, Becky and Gary Applegate of Franklinton; two grandchildren and spouse, Brandon and Chasidy Applegate and Amanda Applegate; and a half brother, Eric Pittman of Hammond. Visitation was after 9 am Thursday at Crain Funeral Home until time for a funeral service at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Pat Richey and Bro. James Reeve officiating. Pallbearers were Justin Blackwell, Louis Corkern, Brandon Applegate, Gary Applegate, Jerry Simmons, Steve Guidry. Velma Magee Robbins, Angie Velma Magee Robbins, 91, a long-time resident of Angie died Friday, July 18, 2003 at Lakewood Quarters Nursing Facility in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of Angie Baptist Church and many community organizations. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William H. Robbins Jr. and Mary Ann Kennedy Robbins of Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Robbins Jones and Charles M. Jones of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, William S. Robbins of Baton Rouge, Robert B. Robbins of Austin, TX, Jeffrey W. Robbins of Lebanon, PA, Steven Jones of Atlanta, GA, and Robin Jones Loftin of Nashville, TN; a great-grandson, W. Cole Robbins of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Shanler Magee of Isabel and Lloyd Magee of Jackson, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Robbins Sr.; her parents, Elton and Bertha Talley Magee; a brother, Doyle Magee and a sister, Eunice Magee Moss. Visitation was held from noon to 3 pm Saturday, July 20 at Poole-Ritchie funeral home in Bogalusa, LA followed by the funeral service at 3pm. Interment was at the Bonnie Cemetery in Angie.
