She is survived by three daughters, Jeanie Matthews, Vikki (Hilton) Taylor, and Gay Bickham all of Franklinton; four sons, Ronald (Dorothy) Bickham, Darryl (Winifred) Bickham, and Kendall (Gwendolyn) Bickham of Franklinton and Dolyal Bickham of Jackson, MS; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; a granddaughter she reared, Shawntele Bickham of Slidell, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Magee; her husband, Woodrow Bickham; a son, Rudy Bickham; and a granddaughter, Chimere Bickham. Visitation was Friday, July 18 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 3 pm until 8 pm with family hour from 7 pm until 8 pm. A funeral service was held Saturday, July 19 at 11 am at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Mallery Callahan officiating. Interment was in the Sweet Rest Memorial Park. Aimee Rene'e Dufrene, Franklinton Aimee Rene'e Dufrene, infant daughter of Gary and Joette Dufrene of Franklinton, died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She is also survived by two brothers, Daniel and Steven Dufrene of Franklinton; her grandparents, Gary Dufrene, Cathy Dufrene and Larry and Connie Jenkins, all of Franklinton; two aunts, Felicia Dufrene and Monica Rohrer; two uncles, Rust Jenkins and Jean-Paul Rohrer, all of Franklinton; great grandparents, Barbara Ann and Esco Simmons of Varnado, Louis and Gwen Dawsey of Covington, Kathleen Lee of Brookhaven, MS and Tildon and Myrtle Perez of Robert; a great-great- grandmother, Thelma Bell of Franklinton; a very special Grandma Lorraine Dykes of Franklinton; and a host of special friends. She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Latimore Primes, Roil Dufrene and Monroe Jenkins; and a great-great-grandfather, Willie Bell. A graveside service was held at 10 am Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at Spencer Cemetery with Rev. Leon Hickman officiating. Deborah Arthur Garcia, Fayetteville, NC Deborah Arthur Garcia, 42, a native of Madison, MS, former resident of Franklinton and a resident of Fayetteville, NC, died at 11:50 pm Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the resident of her parents in Franklinton. She was a cardiac technician at Highsmith-Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville and a member of the Aaron Lake Baptist Church in Fayetteville. She is survived by three daughters, Jessica, Jennifer and Jaimie Garcia of Fayetteville; her parents, Tommy and Dot Arthur of Franklinton; a grandmother, Audice Lee Arthur of Carthage, MS; a brother, Thomas Arthur, Jr. of Morgan City; a sister-in-law, Tammy Arthur of Brandon, MS; and several aunts, uncles; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Arthur; and grandparents, R. V. and Irish Moss and Thurman Arthur. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home after 10 am Monday until time for the funeral service at 2 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Jerry Barlow and Rev. Danny VonKanel officiating. Pallbearers were Eddie Warren, Sr., Eddie Warren, Jr., Stuart Warren, Joseph Moss, Earl Taylor Jr. and Mike Arthur. Interment was in the Springhill-Magee Cemetery. Evelyn Mary Dussor Arceneaux, Franklinton Evelyn Mary Dussor Arceneaux, 80, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Franklinton, died at 1:45 am Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Heritage Manor in Franklinton. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the widow of Linden J. Arceneaux. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa A. Adams of Franklinton and Trudy A. Pecoul of Indian Valley, VA; two sons, David Arceneaux of Mandeville and Michael Arceneaux of Des Allemands, LA; three brothers, Edwin Dussor, Jr. of Franklinton, Henry Dussor of Covington and Joseph Dussor of Metairie; a sister, Joan Ellison of Covington; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Edwin H. Sr. and Lillian Dussor; brothers, August and John Dussor; and a sister, June Wallace. Visitation was at Holy Family Catholic Church in Franklinton after 9 am Monday until time for the funeral mass at 11 am with Father Bill Blank officiating. Pallbearers were David Arceneaux, Sr., David Arceneaux, Jr., Michael Arceneaux, James Adams, Jr., Ronald Pecoul and Marc Pecoul. Interment was in the Morris Cemetery in Franklinton. Sheree Parker Ruffino, Mandeville, LA Sheree Parker Ruffino, 44, a resident of Mandeville, LA and native of Baton Rouge, died at 8:03 pm Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a dietician with St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. She is survived by her husband, Louis J. Ruffino, Jr. of Mandeville; her father and mother, Elton Grant Parker and Anita Givens Parker; a son, Louis Parker, Ruffino; a brother, V. Grant Parker; and three sisters, Pat Burris, Pam Bourgeois and Cindy Stafford. Visitation was at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington on Friday, July 25 from 6 pm until 9 pm. Visitation continued after 9 am Saturday until time for a funeral service at 10 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment was in the Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. Joan Dickson, Franklinton Joan Dickson, 61, a resident of Franklinton, died Saturday, July 19, 2003 at her residence. A native of New Orleans and former resident of Baton Rouge, she was an educator for thirty-five years, starting in elementary education and later as the Direct of Adult Education for Washington Parish School Board. She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia W. White of Detroit, Michigan and Tamrah (Joseph, Sr.) Bindon of Baton Rouge; a son, Donald (Debra) Wilson of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Florida Mae Adams, Bonita Franklin, and Myrtle Franklin of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Willie (Glenda) Hamilton of Baton Rouge, Joseph (Anna) Hamilton, Jr. of Lake Charles and Charles Hamilton of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Devantae Wilson and Joseph C. Bindon, Jr.; 40 great-grandchildren; five devoted friends, Mrs. Thelma Thompson, Mrs. Mary McCullen, Faycene Dunham, Pastor Linnie Westley, and Mama Leana; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Visitation was Friday, July 25, 2003 at Crain and Sons Funeral from 3 pm until 8 pm with a family hour from 7 pm until 8 pm. A funeral service was held Saturday, July 26 at 11 am at Winan United Methodist Church with Rev. Terrence August officiating. Interment was in the Winnfield Memorial Park in Baton Rouge.
