He was a truck driver and a member of the Pine First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Stafford Jordan of Pine; a son and daughter-in-law, Nathaniel Ray, Jr. and Amanda Jordan of Pine; three grandchildren, Dylan and Harlie Jordan and Rabecca Sumrall; five brothers, James Wilbur "Sam" Jordan of Westmoreland, TN, Royce Lee Jordan, William Junior Jordan, both of Bogalusa, Rufus Elroy Jordan of Roswell, NM, and Willie J. Jordan of Pine: and three sisters, Myrtle Lee Stogner of McComb, Dyseree Breland, and Tommie Jo Jordan both of Bogalusa. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas E. Jordan; his parents, Eli and Lethal Beall Jordan; two brothers, James Edward Jordan and Buford Earl Jordan. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 pm until 10 pm on Monday and after 9 am Tuesday. A funeral service was held at 3 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Wayne Cook and Rev. Eric Williams officiating. Pallbearers were O'Neal Ard, Pat Collins, Denford Smith, J. C. Sumrall, Kendall Stogner and Greg Stogner. Interment was in the Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery. Ernest "Buster" Dykes, Wilmer Community Ernest "Buster" Dykes, 81, a resident of the Wilmer Community, died at 8:30 pm Saturday, May 31, 2003 at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington. He was a retired dairyman and a member of the Wilmer Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lexie Crowe Dykes of Wilmer; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Ken and Lillie Dykes and Milton and Pat Dykes all of Franklinton; four daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Dewitt Strickland of Kentwood, Betty and Wayne Brooks of Tylertown, Janie and Kendall Smith and Mary and Henry Tate all of Franklinton; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four grandchildren. Visitation was at the Crain Funeral Home from 6 pm until 10 pm Monday. Visitation continued after 9 am Tuesday at the Wilmer Baptist Church until time for the funeral service at 11 am at the church with Eld. Richard Magee, Eld. Duane Ball, Rev. Jerry Cox and Rev. Stan Statham officiating. Pallbearers were Damon Smith, Clint Dykes, James Tate, Roger Hyde, Glennis Brooks and Dennis Dykes. Interment was in the church cemetery. Floyd L. "Mac" McElroy, Franklinton Floyd L. "Mac" McElroy, 78, of Franklinton died June 3, 2003 at Riverside Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1924 in Houma, LA. He was a longtime resident of Port Arthur, Texas where he retired from Texaco Chemical Company of Port Neches, Texas after 34 years of loyal service. He is survived by his wife, Ann McElroy of Franklinton; two daughters, Terry McElroy of Arlington, MA and Darlene Hazelwood of Franklinton; a son, Terry Jones of Bogalusa; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean McElroy; two sons, Danny McElroy and Larry McElroy; two brothers, Ernie and Kenneth McElroy; a sister, Elsie Turner; and his parents, Albert and Sadie McElroy. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 pm until 9 pm A memorial service was held at 9 am Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Archote officiating. Interment was in Port Neches, Texas. Geraldine Thomas Nielson, Pine Geraldine Thomas Nielson, 70, a resident of the Pine Community, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at her residence. She was a widow of Estes Nielson, a member of Stateline Baptist Church and attended Central Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law; Johnny and Kaye Nelson of Pine, Randy Nielson and Benny Nielson both of Hackley; three grandchildren and spouses, Jeff and Candy Dillon, Jerry and Ginger Nelson and Cassi Nelson; two great-granchildren, Cherish and Cole Dillon. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Nielson. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 6 pm until 10 pm Thursday and after 9 am Friday. A funeral service was held at 2 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Doyle Ball and Eld. Don Jacobs officiating. Pallbearers were Jeff Dillon, Jerry Beltran, Dalton Kennedy, Steve Thomas, Wendell Thomas and Wayne Hunt. Interment was in the Duncan Nielson Cemetery. Sidney O. Jenkins, Franklinton Sidney O. Jenkins, 76, a resident of Franklinton, died at 9:30 am Thursday, June 5, 2003 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was a retired car salesman, a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Crowe Jenkins of Franklinton; a son, Olan Jenkins of Franklinton; two grandchildren and spouses, Brent and Lisa Jenkins and Krista and Scott Sharpe all of Bogalusa; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Jenkins, Brittany Jenkins, Amber Jenkins, Dakota Jenkins and Lauren Box; three sisters, Emmalee Barber of Bogalusa; Willie Mae Simmons of Franklinton and Cleo Jimmerson of Monroe. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Barrett K. Jenkins. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 6 pm until 9 pm Friday and after 8 am Saturday. A funeral service was held at 11 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Brent King and Eld. James Broome officiating. Pallbearers were Steve Bullock, Paul Barber, Royce Barber, Scott Moak, Ronnie Moak, and Roger Varnado. Interment was in the Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
