She was owner/operator of Almost New Clothes in Franklinton and a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Timothy Wood of Franklinton; two daughters, Heather Wood and Christi Wood both of Franklinton; her father, Woodie Baltimore of Baytown, TX; a brother, Alan Baltimore of Poplarville; a sister, Shelly Arguelles of Franklinton; and her grandmothers, Hazel Baltimore of Tullahoma, TN and Lucille Pledger of Mooresboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Soileau. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 pm until 10 pm Saturday and after 9 am Sunday. A funeral service was held at 2 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Denny Brumfield officiating. Pallbearers were Charles Hudson, Rickey Hudson, Johnny Hudson, Roy Sharp, Donald Wheat and Michael Arguelles. Interment was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Thomas Austin Wood, Franklinton Thomas Austin Wood, 46, a resident of Franklinton, died at 2 pm Thursday, May 15, 2003. He was a welder and member of the Silver Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Timothy Wood of Franklinton; two daughters, Heather Wood and Christi Wood both of Franklinton; his parents, Richard and Penichon Wood of Franklinton; a brother, Ben Wood of Franklinton; and a granddaughter, Jordan Arguelles of Franklinton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Wood and his grandparents, Austin and Minnie Wood; and Wesley and Evelyn Duncan Thomas. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 pm until 10 pm Saturday and after 9 am Sunday. A funeral service was held at 4:30 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Denny Brumfield officiating. Pallbearers were Delton Kennedy, Jr., Robert Sprehe, Jim Morgan, Michael Arguelles, Harry Bouquet Jr. and Norman Brock. Interment was in the Wood Family Cemetery. Eloise Magee Martin, Baton Rouge Eloise Magee Martin, 81, a native of Franklinton, and long-time resident of Baton Rouge, died at 8:45 am, Monday, May 12, 2003 at the Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, TX. She had lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Cedar Park, TX for the last two years. She was retired from Ethyl Corporation after over 30 years of service. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Mike Young; nieces, Rebecca "Becky" Record of Clinton, LA and Beryl Ford of New Llano, LA; and a nephew, Paul Magee of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse W. Martin; parents, W. J. and Alice Magee; brother, Willis Daniel "Danny" Magee; and long-time friend and companion, James E. Scott. Visitation was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Wednesday from 5 pm to 8 pm. Graveside services were held at Ellis Cemetery on Thursday, May 15 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Dorman P. Burch, Franklinton Dorman P. Burch, 81, a resident of Franklinton, died at 6:05 am Saturday, May 17, 2003 in Franklinton. He was owner-operator of Burch's Amoco for many years and also served on the Franklinton Town Council for three terms. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a U. S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife Margaret Stafford Burch of Franklinton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda B. and Chip Burris of Tylertown and Sandra B. Bennett of Franklinton; four grandchildren, Bridget Burris, Brandi Burris, Candace Fontenot and Carson Fontenot. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Visitation was at the Crain Funeral Home from 6 pm until 9 pm Sunday and after 8 am Monday. A funeral service was held at 11 am Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Stafford and Rev. Lyndle Bullard officiating. Pallbearers were Robin Burch, Rocky Burch, Sherman Burch, Chuck Wilkes, Jimmy Stafford, Bill Stafford and John Stafford. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Joy L. Davis Seals, Kentwood Joy L. Davis Seals, 50, a resident of Kentwood, died at 3:10 am Sunday, May 11, 2003 at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. She was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church She is survived by her husband, Charles Travis Seals of Kentwood; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jason and Keisha Seals and Eric Seals both of Kentwood; a granddaughter, Lauren Seals; her mother, Mary Lee Davis of Franklinton; two brothers, Scott Davis of Kentwood and Roy Davis of Franklinton; and two sisters, Judy Simmons and Rosemary Varnado both of Franklinton She was preceded in death by her father, J. M. Davis and a brother, Michael Davis. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 pm until 10 pm Monday and after 9 am Tuesday. A funeral services was held at 1 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles Abbey, Rev. Sammy Smith and Rev. Cecil Burch officiating. Pallbearers were Travis Seals, Jason Seals, Eric Seals, David Seals, Casey Seals and Royce Barber. Honorary pallbearers were Brad Seals, Jamie Seals, Marlin McClendon, Steve Davis and Jermey Davis. Interment followed in the Sunlight Baptist Church Cemetery.
