Hermon died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at her residence. She was a loving and devoted mother to four daughters and also worked as an assembler at Croft Metal Company and a cook at Terrell’s Seafood. She is survived by her daughters, Remelda Kay Bennett Peters of Mount Belvieu, TX, Neva Laman Bennett of Austin, TX, Thu-Anh Ladawn Buhler of Varnado, and Alene Laprece Bennett of Mt. Hermon; two grandchildren, Toya and Tera Peters; three brothers, Alton Davis and Albert Davis both of Bogalusa and Elbert Davis of Crossroads, MS; three sisters, Sylvia Brooks of Bogulasa, Melda Faye Phelps of Columbia, MS and Sharon Ann Davis of Port Allen. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Charlie and Alcus Davis. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday and continued after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. John Suber, Rev. Charles Borne and Rev. Thomas L. Moore officiating. She was buried in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were, Doug Brooks, Robert Phelps, Greg Phelps, Steve Little, Shannon Graham and Dewayne Bennett.
