Henry, 37, killed Friday by Dan Mark Norman Core, 59 of Folsom, died Friday. Survived by wife, Mattie Core. Interment in Folsom cemetery. Mrs. Lena Ann Bickerstaff, 57, died Thursday. Funeral services in Tupelo, MS. Ella Mae Bradley, 31, killed Sunday. A native of Hebrons, MS. Frank Kattman, 64, died at Indianapolis. Survivors are his widow and brother, Walt R. Kattman. 8-31-1942 Harvey Bonney, 65 of Laura, MS, brother of R. L. Bonney, died Thursday. A Native of Iowa, Survivors include his widow, Lottie Taylor Bonney, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors are her husband, 1 son, 3 daughters. Alexander Z. Kirby, 49, died Friday. A pioneer railroad man of Bogalusa. He came to Bogalusa about 25 years ago from Columbia, MS. Davis, 72, died Sunday of mysterious burns at her home in Sun. Interment in Covington cemetery. Survivors are 1 son, 2 daughters, 1 sister. Ida Kennison, 71, died Wednesday. Esther Magee, wife of Joel Magee, died Friday at age 49. Survivors are her husband, 3 sons, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters. Interment in Ellis cemetery. Mrs. J. H. Cassidy, 57, died Sunday. Matilda Cryer Singletary, 79 of Talisheek, died Tuesday. Buried in Charter Oak cemetery. Interment in Ponemah cemetery, Survivors are his widow, Hester Losa Erickson 11-16-1942 Mrs. R. S. Taylor has bee notified that her brother-in-law, Lt. Commander J. W. Wintle of the U. S. Navy has been killed in action. Remain are buried at sea. Frank Joseph Luke, 66, died Saturday. Interment was in McGehee cemetery. Survivors are 1 son. 11-23-1942 Mrs. E. F. Motie Trayal, 73, died November 17 in Mobile, AL. Survivors are her widow, 6 children, 3 sisters of this city. Interment in Ponemah cemetery Lucius Esco Duncan, 59, died Thursday. Interment in Oak Grove cemetery. Survivors are his widow, step-son, 1 daughter, 4 brothers, father, Walter Duncan, and 1 sister. 11-30-1942 Lillie Faye Morgan, 14, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie B. Morgan, died Wednesday. Interment in Sunlight cemetery. William G. Page, 52, died Wednesday, November 25. Burial in McGehee cemetery. Survivors are his widow, 1 son, 1 daughter, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. Corporal Orla L. Mitchell, 31, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. I. Mitchell, was buried November 10 in American National cemetery in Brookwood, ENG. Survivors are 4 brothers, twin sisters, 1 other sister. 12-7-1942 Hester "Mama Hess" Buckner, 110 years old, died Monday. She was born in 1832 near Deer Creek, MS. Survivors are 1 daughter, 5 grandchildren. Dr. Frank Williams, brother of I. J. Williams of this city, died Tuesday at his home in Lake Providence. He was a native of Clark Co., MS. Survivors are his widow, 1 daughter, 1 son, mother, 5 brothers, 1 sister. Pvt. 1st Class Richard Franklin White, cousin of Mrs. A. S. Anderson and Mrs. Ben D. Miller, was killed in action, according to his mother, Mrs. R. F. White of Alexandria. His father, Colonel R. F. White, died in Shreveport in 1935. Survivors are his mother, brother, and sister. Hopson Albert Duncan, Jr., 23 months, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Duncan, died Friday. Interment in Ponemah 12-14-1942 Announced this week. Clyde Kennedy of the Marine Corps was killed in action. He was 20 years old. Funeral services were held for William Sellers, 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan sellers, on Sunday in Ponchatoula. He was Second Lieutenant in the U. S. Army Air Force. 12-21-1942 Truett Brock, 18 of Walthall Co., MS., died Saturday from a fatal stabbing 12-28-1942 Sara Powe, 63, died 12-25. Interment in Pounds cemetery. Survivors are 3 daughters, and 2 sons. Rita Talley, 10 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Talley, former resident of Sun, now of Mobile, AL, died 12-23. She was granddaughter of James F. Jones. Interment in Talley Chapel cemetery. James Elmer Dykes, 37, died Dec. 24th. Interment in Nobles cemetery. Survivors are his widow, parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Dykes, 4 sons, 1 daughter, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Mrs. Timon Thomas, wife of S. S. Thomas died Sunday, December 7th. Mrs. J. Stafford Fussell, 86, died December 27. Interment in Fisher cemetery. Survivors are 3 daughters, 4 sons, 1 brother, and 1 sister. Funeral services for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Sumrall were held Saturday at the Fussell cemetery. She was born on Christmas Day and died shortly afterward.
