Boyd received a shotgun blast to the face. The last killing in this section was over five cents. Jenkins, John Isaac, age 56 of Covington, died Wednesday Nov. 28th at his home. Interment in the Lee Road Cem. Brown FH in charge. Nobles, Willis, age 35, died Saturday at the Merchant Marine Hosp. at Mobile AL. He was born & reared near Franklinton, but prior to entering the service he resided in Pensacola FL. Survivors:2 sisters Mrs. Luther Simmons, Bogalusa, Mrs. H. L. Raley, Seattle WA, 3 bros. Alfred Nobles, South Carolina, William Nobles, Purvis MS, Wilbur Nobles, Camden AR. G. F. Poole in charge of incomplete arrangements. Penny, John Hargey, age 80, died Sunday Dec. 2nd, at ESM hosp. He was a pioneer resident of Washington Parish. Interment in the Simmons Cem. Poole FH in charge. Walley, Mrs. Alice Bankston, age 31, died at Laurel MS. Tuesday Nov. 27th. Interment in Ponemah Cem. G. F. Poole in charge. December 10, 1945 Corkern, Mrs. Eldora Stafford, age 57 of Enon, died Saturday Dec. 8th at the Bapt. Hosp. Survivors: 3 son Eddie & Dudley Corkern of New Orleans, Doyle Corkern of Enon, 4 daus. Mrs. Exie Lea Richardson, New Orleans, Miss Marie Corkern, New Orleans, Miss Earline Corkern, Franklinton, Elois Corkern of Enon, 7 bros. Luther, Collie, Ezra, Melton, Melvin, Sigsby & Wilks Stafford all of Bogalusa, 2 sisters Mrs. Bella Stafford & Mrs. Mollie Fisher both of Bogalusa, Interment in the Enon Cem. Brown FH in charge. December 17, 1945 Stockstill, Mrs. Margaret Abagail, age 81 of Covington died Saturday Dec. 8th, at the home of her son W. D. Stockstill. She is survived by 1 son & 4 daughters. Interment in the New Palestine Cem. Brown FH in charge. December 31, 1945 Bickerstaff, David, in his seventies, died Thursday at Charity Hosp. in New Orleans. Survivors: 3 sons John Bickerstaff, Bogalusa, Louis Bickerstaff, Tupelo MS, Bill Bickerstaff, New Orleans. Quentin Bickerstaff is a grandson. Funeral held in Tupelo. Costello, Mrs. Rosa Ramos, age 70 died Wednesday Dec. 26th at Jackson LA. She was the mother of Mrs. Alice Bellande former resident of Bogalusa. Funeral & interment was held in New Orleans. Pool FH in charge. Davidson, Mrs. M. T., age 77, died Thursday Dec. 27th in Grand Rapids Michigan. She was the mother of George Davidson an employee of Gaylord. Funeral in Grand Rapids.
