Survivors: son John A. Carlisle of Bog, 3 daus. Mrs. J. D. Bourgeois & Mrs. Margaret White of New Orleans, & Mrs. S. R. Daniel of Helena AR, 2 bros. M. B. Watson of Baton Rouge & J. A. Watson of Kilborn LA, 2 sisters Mrs. E. L. Middleton of Bog, & Mrs. M. L. Garrett of Meridan. Funeral held Sun. at Poole Funeral Home, interment in Ponemah Cem. May, Hope Dewitt, age 80 of Bog, died at his home Sat. Nov. 30. He had resided in the city for 34 yrs. Survivors: wife Mrs. Mattie May, 4 daus. Mrs. Beulah Downey & Mrs. W. A. Broome of Bog, Mrs.. G. Tisdale, Mrs. Olivia Talley, age 73 resident of St. Tammany Psh, died Thur. Nov. 28 at her home near Ramsey. She is survived by her husband E. Tisdale. Funeral held Sat, interment in the Church of God Cem. Brown Funeral Home in charge. Dec. 9, 1946 Adams, Robert Spencer, age 61, was found dead at his home south of Bog. Thur., of self inflicted gun shot wounds. Survivors: wife Mrs. Elmer Mae Robbins Adams, 3 daus. Bobbie Grace, Ethel Mae & Joan Wardell all of Bog, 5 sons Joe L. serving in the Pacific Theater of operation, Brock, Ray, Sherwood all of Bog. & Johnnie of Shreveport, 3 bros. Abraham, William Sherwood & Joseph F. all of Bog, 3 sisters Mrs. J. M. Lendon & Mrs. H. Armbruster & Mrs. Jessie Hunt all of this city. He was the s/o the late Mr/Mrs Sherwood Adams. Funeral held Fri. at Poole Funeral Home, interment in the Adam's Cem. Mizell, Wesley, age 64 died suddenly at his home in Bog. Sat. Dec. 7, following a heart attack he suffered Fri. night. A native of the parish, he was in the retail ice cream business. Survivors: wife Mrs. Etta Mizell, 4 sons Dewitt of Bog, R. S. & Vernon of Franklinton, & Rufus Jacksonville FL, 4 bros. Born near Talisheek, she was well known throughout Wash. & St. Tammany Psh. Survivors: husband Caz Talley, 1 dau. Mrs. J. Q. James of Hoppen Place, where she & her husband had made their home in recent yrs., 2 bros. Pink Parker & John Parker of Isabel, 1 sister Mrs. Ophelia Burkhalter of Franklinton. Funeral held Fri. at Poole Funeral Home, interment in Ponemah Cem. Whitted, Mrs. Ada Rhodes, age 60, former resident of Bog, died at Mobile, Wed. Nov. 27. Funeral was held at Higgins Mortuary in Mobile, interment in Pine Crest Cem. Dec. 16, 1946 Brady, Elbert, age 69 died at WST Hosp. Fri. Dec. 13, following an illness of 1 week. A resident of Bog. for over 35 yrs, he suffered a stroke this past week. Survivors: wife Mrs. Emma Brady, 5 sons Wilfred & Jewel of Bog, Lawrence of Gulfport, Clarence of Mobile & Aduie of Taylorsville MS, 3 bros. Ernest of Bog, Emmett of Gulfport, & Horace of Jackson LA, 5 sisters Mrs. Nora Spears, Mrs. Maggie Smith, Mrs. Vernie Taylor & Mrs. Madie Quave all of Picayune & Mrs. E. Lossett of Laurel. Funeral held Sat. at the Church of God, interment in George Ford Cem. Brown Funeral Home in charge. Dec. 23, 1946 Guymon, Mrs. R. E. & 2 daus. Kay Beverly & Theresa of Picayune MS, were instantly killed in a traffic accident near Florence MS, Friday. The borrowed vehicle Mr. Guymon was driving crashed into a concrete abutment. Guymon & a 3rd dau. were taken to a Jackson MS. hospital. Guymon was enroute to a conference at Jackson & they had planned to spend the weekend in Jackson. Herrin, Van Buren, age 60 of Talisheek, was instantly killed Fri. when the automobile he was driving was struck by the Southerner streamlined train at St. Joe LA. His wife, a passenger, jumped from the car & escaped injury. Herrin, is also survived by 1 dau. Mrs. Edith Davis. Funeral to be held Sun. at the Herrin Cem. at Talisheek. Brown Funeral Home in charge. Dec. 30, 1946 Haik, Michel, died Sun. Dec. 29 in Meridian MS, while visiting relatives. He was the proprietor of Mike's Sandwich Shop & is survived by his wife. Funeral arrangements incomplete with Poole Funeral Home in charge. Pittman, Mrs. Winnie Boyet age 53, died at her home on the Varnado Hwy., Sat. Dec. 28. Survivors: husband Albert E. Pittman, 1 son Jack of Birmingham AL, 2 bros. J. A. Boyet of Bog, & June Boyet of Pearl River, 6 sisters Mrs. W. W. Poole & Mrs. S. E. Pigott both of Bog, Mrs. C. A. Russ of Gulfport, Mrs. Sally Cook of Lake Charles, Mrs. T. A. Jordan of Purvia & Mrs. Ann Boykin of Picayune. Funeral held Sun. at the First Bapt.
