Niece of Mrs. E. L. Cowan, was killed Sunday. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wheeler. R. E. E. Jones of Baton Rouge died Friday. Survivors are his widow, 2 daughters, and 2 sons. Interment in Roselawn cemetery. Clemon Fleder (?Felder) Fortenberry, 38, died Jan. 9th. Interment in Fussell cemetery. Survivors are his widow, 3 daughters, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fortenberry, 6 brothers, and 1 sister. Margaret Agnes Welch, 45, wife of E. M. Welch, died Jan. 8th. Percy Foxworth, 36, an F.B.I. officer, was killed last week in a plane crash. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Foxworth, who died several years ago. He was born in Purvis, MS. Lucy Alione Caramella, 82, died Friday. Interment in Ponemah cemetery. Survivors are her husband Peter Caramella, 3 sons, 2 daughters, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. James Virden Quave, 32 died Sunday. Interment in Galloway cemetery near Bush. Survived by his widow, Rachel Jenkins Quave, 4 daughters, 1 son, mother, Mary E. Quave, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Pvt. Interment in Ponemah cemetery 2-8-1943 Horace Hunt, 23 of Mt. Hermon was shot and fatally wounded Sunday by his brother, Jesse Hunt. He died at his father, Nick Hunt's home. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Addie Hunt, 3 children, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Hunt, 2 brothers, a 1/2 brother, and 1 sister. Mary Etta Richards, 4 months, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Richards of Pensacola, FL, died Feb. 5th. Mrs. Richards is the former Dorothy Cothern of this city. Interment in Magee cemetery. Y. A. Interment in Ponemah cemetery. 4-5-1943 Ernest "Satin" Dorsey, died of Bright's disease Thursday. F. L. Peck, director of Great Southern Lumber Co., died at his home in Scranton, PA on April 1st at the age of 88. L. L. Holloway's mother, Mary Magee Holloway, widow of State Senator G. H. Holloway of Carson, MS, died. She was 75 and survived by her husband, 7 sons, 2 daughters. Daniel Monroe Webb, 81, died April 2nd. Interment in Nobles cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Nancy Dillon, nephews and nieces. 4-12-1943 Mrs. L. P. Kemp died at her son's home in Starksville, MS. Sunday. She was about 70 years old. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Blackwell of Sun received a telegram on April 11th, notifying them that their son, Willie Blackwell, was killed in action in North Africa on March 27th. William Fauquier, 62, died April 9th. Interment was in Wallace cemetery. Survivors are his widow and 2 sons. 4-19-1943 Shelton Ellis Corkern, Merchant Marine has been killed in action. 4-26-1943 Hunter Magee, 41, son of E. L. Magee, died Thursday.
