A native of St. Tammany Psh. Survivors: Mrs. Lelia Bass & Mrs. J. A. Boyet , Bogalusa; Mrs. Rupert Landrum & Mrs. Lona Smith, Napoleon MS. Uncle of Mrs. W. W. Poole, Mrs. Sunder Pigott, Mrs. A. E. Pittman & J. A. Boyett all of Bogalusa, & June Boyet of Pearl River Station. Internment in the Napoleon Cem. Poole FH in charge. Wilson, John H. age 65, died Saturday of a hemorrhage. Survivors: his widow Mrs. Mae Wilson, 7 children, J. Howard Wilson in the South Pacific, Mrs. C. D. Burdeaux, Mrs. Ollie Stewart, Mrs. Aubrey Stewart, Misses Eloise & Dorothy Lee Wilson & Herbert Wilson all of Bogalusa; 2 bros. Marvin Wilson, Gulfport MS & George Wilson, Orange TX; 2 sisters Mrs. Martha Sumrall & Mrs. Emma Loford, Hattiesburg. Burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cem. Poole FH in charge. May 21, 1945 Jenkins, Allen, age 53, died Monday, born at Hackley & father of 5 sons in the armed forces. The widow also survives. G. F. Poole in charge of incomplete arrangements. Stanton, Neva, age 39, died Friday. Dau. of the late Robert & Geneva Seal Rester, and a sister of Cecil & Vextor Rester of Varnado. Interment in Seal Cem. Brown FH in charge. May 28, 1945 Andrews, Mrs. T. W., died Tuesday at her home near Tylertown. She was the aunt of Mrs. W. P. Richardson. H. Carruth (Hooks) Richardson, their son also attended. Interment was in the Tylertown Cem. Randall, Mrs. Byran H., age 55, died Sunday at Desporte Clinic. Previously from Amite Co. MS, she had resided in this city for the past 15 months. Survivors: 5 son; Brewer of Greenville MS, Maj. S. J. Randall stationed at Memphis TN, Harold of Willows CA, Douglas with the Marines on Okinawa & Wayne Randall at home; 4 daus. Mrs. Barney Smith, Bogalusa, Miss Alexa Randall, student at University of CO, Daphne 7 Barbara Randall at home. Interment in the Oxford Comm. near Gloster MS. Rivers, William ,2nd Class Navy, age 19, died Friday in Baton Rouge of injuries received in an auto accident. Born in Bogalusa the son of Mr/Mrs. G. C. Rivers, Sr. of Covington. Nephew of Kemp Mizell of Sun. Interment in the Mizell Cem near Sun. Stafford, Walter T. Pvt., killed in action Apr. 8, 1945 in Germany. Parents: Mr/Mrs. William Stafford who received a Purple Heart for their son at a Memorial Service in Baton Rouge on Sunday. June 4, 1945 Bell, William A. age 68, died June 1 at Pensacola FL. Buried here beside a son, with Poole FH in charge. Jordan, H. B, age 40, died Sunday of injuries received in a traffic accident, which involved 15 persons, 5 cars & 1 wood truck. Survivors: widow & 6 mo. old dau; mother, Mrs. E. A. Britton, father, Manson Jordan both of Bogalusa, 1 sister, Mrs. Mary Weigel, New Orleans. He was born near Pine but resided at Thibodaux. Interment in Ponemah Cem, Poole FH in charge. June 11, 1945 Self, Percy, age about 55, died at his home in Houston TX. Survivors: mother, Mrs. V. A. Stringfield of Houston, 2 sisters & 5 bros. all in TX. A nephew of Mrs. H. V. Foil of Little Buffalo. June 18, 1945 Knight, Leslie, age 50, died Friday. Resident of Varnado vicinity. Burial in the Thomas Cem. Ladner, Conrad Ray,age 7, killed instantly Thursday at his home by lightning. Son of Mr/Mrs. L. D. Ladner. Burial at Nobles Cem. Brown FH in charge. Mixon, ______, age 50 (bro.of T. J. Mixon) drowned along with William Erickson, age 4, John Niehaus, age 29, & Joe Niehaus, age 7, on Thursday, 6 miles west of Ponchatoula when their boat capsized. Mixon, was born & reared in Tangipahoa Psh. Survivors: widow, Mrs. Mattie Shaffer Mixon, 5 daus, all married; bro. T. J. Mixon. Interment was in Ponchatoula. Moore, Pattie Sue, age17, only child of Mr/Mrs. W. D. Moore, of Georgetown MS, former residents of this city, died of burns resulting from the fire which enveloped a Gulf Transport Co. bus last Wednesday south of Wanilla MS. Funeral was held at Georgetown. Two other victims of the fire were nieces of M. A. Pope. They were Edna Grace Jones 17 yr. old dau. of Mr/Mrs. T L. Jones of Tylertown & Hyacinth Pope, 17 yr. old dau. of Mr/Mrs H. H. Pope of Dinan MS. Nolan, George A., age 64, died Thursday at ESM Hosp. He was born in Brookhaven MS. Survivors: widow Mrs. Hettie M. Nolan, 4 daus. Mrs. Clara Gaillard, New Orleans, Mrs. Velma Gates, Norfolk VA, Mrs. Marie Roark, Benton AR & Mrs. Agnes Jenkins of this city. 9 grandchildren including Cpl. Billie Nobles, Army Air Forces stationed in the Philippines. Burial in Ponemah Cem, with Poole FH in charge.
