Survivors: 1 son David B. Cunningham, dau. Mrs. Allen W. Martin, 2 sisters Clara & Virginia Stromeyer. Funeral Sat. at the home of Tharp, Sontheimer-Tharp in New Orleans, interment in Metairie Cem. Parker, Mrs. H. F. age 50 died at her home in Foley FL, Thur. Survivors: husband H. F. Parker, 2 sons L. A. & Edwin Parker, dau. Frankie all of Foley, 1 bro. A. L. Lacour of Meridian MS. Funeral held Fri. in Foley.(Note: see Sept. 8) Sylvest, Mrs. Lillie Creel age 79, died Fri. Aug. 29th at her home near Franklinton. Survivors: 3 sons Ollie, Leon & Howard all of Franklinton, dau. Mrs. Lettie May Simmons of Franklinton, sister Mrs. Ola Walters of Franklinton, bro. Narvel Creel of Bog, 3 daus. Mrs. Ida Williams of Bog, Msr. Ada Erwin of Franklinton & Mrs. Lizzie Stringfield of Monroe. Funeral & interment held Sat. at Fisher Church. Brown Funeral Home in charge. Sept. 8, 1947 Landolt, John Mathew, age 83 of Bog, died at WST Hosp. Thur. Sept. 4th. A native of Bern Switzerland, he had reside here for 35 yrs. Survivors: wife Mrs. Clara Pittman Landolt, 4 daus. Mrs. Bob Davis of IL., Mrs. Arthur Savage of KS, Mrs. A. J. Brown of OR, & Mrs. A. P. Mazone of New Orleans. Funeral held Fri. at Poole Funeral Home, interment in Ponemah Cem. Parker, Mrs. H. F. age 55 former resident of Bog, died at her home in Foley FL, Aug. 23. Burial was in Perry FL. The former Beatrice Lacour of Lacour LA, she visited the city each summer. Beside her husband, she is survived by a dau. Frankie of Foley FL, 2 sons Edwin of Tampa FL, L. A. of Starke FL, 8 grandchildren, a bro. J. A. Lacour of Meridian MS, a sister Mrs. G. E. Thomas, 2 nieces Mrs. J. R. Leach & Mrs. F. A. Bates of Bog. Sept. 15, 1947 Caldwell, Clyde W. age 74, father of Mrs. H. H. Richardson of Bog, died Wed. in Alexandria, a few days after suffering a heart attack. Survivors: the widow & 1 dau. Mrs. Richardson. Funeral held Thur. in Alexandria & attended by Sen. & Mrs. Richardson, W. S. "Bill" Richardson, Mrs. J. P. Richardson all of Bog, & Mr/Mrs L. L. Mitchell of Covington. McCormick, Mrs. Kate, age 58, former Bog. citizen, died Fri Sept. 12th in the American Hosp. in Chicago. Survivors: 3 daus. Miss Margaret McCormick, Mrs. Grace Gale & Mrs. Louise Connor all of Chicago. Smith, Mrs. Ettie May Dunaway, age 55 of Bog, died Tues. at ESM Hosp. A native of Jayess MS, when had resided in Bog. for 32 yrs. Survivors: husband James P. Smith, 2 daus. of a former marriage to Robt. May, deceased; Mrs. Morris Chauvin & Mrs. Cedric Allison of this city, 3 stepsons Alton, Lloyd & O. D. Smith of Bog, 3 sisters Mrs. Carey Smith, Mrs. J. P. Harrell & Mrs. Ethel Bennett, 3 bros. Percy, John H. & Ira Dunaway all of Bog., 7 grandchildren. Funeral held Wed., interment in Ponemah Cem. Poole Funeral Home in charge. Sept. 22, 1947 Magee, Hasting O., age 83 died at his home in Bog. Thurs. A native of the parish, born near Isabel & the father of R. W. "Willie" Magee of Franklinton, Supt. of Wash. Psh. Schools. Other survivors: widow Mrs. Sarah Rester Magee, another son Rev. A. C. Magee of Columbia SC, & 6 grandchildren. Funeral held Sat. at Brown Funeral Home, interment in the Plainview Cem. Spikes, Archie (colored) about age 50, electrocuted Fri., when he stepped on a coil of live as a result of the storm which swept through Bog. Friday. The remains were taken to Cook Funeral Home. He is survived by 1 sister & reportedly unemployed.
