Mrs. Claudia Burkhalter, 79, died Sunday, April 6, at Heritage Manor Nursing  
Home Franklinton.  She was a resident of the nursing home.  

She is survived by six daughters, Catherine Brumfield and Debra Ramsey of  
Franklinton, Claudine Harvey of Cleveland, Ohio, and Stella Louise Carrol of  
Richmond, CA, Diane Jones of Oakland, CA and Jessie Lee Burkhalter of Castro  
Valley, Ca; three sons, Johnny Burkhalter, Larry Burkhalter, and Rickey  
Burkhalter all of Franklinton; three brothers, Clifford Burkhalter, Johnny B.  
Burkhalter, and Otha Burkhalter, all of Cleveland, Ohio; thirty-one  
grandchildren; twnety great-grandchildren one great-great-grandchild; two  
daughters-in-law, Sylvia and Vernell Burkhalter; five sons-in-law, Kenneth  
Carrol, Larry Jones, Alvin Brumfield, Gary Harvey, and Guiard Ramsey; one  
sister-in-law Hazel Lowe, one brother-in-law, Marvin Warren; and a host of  
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Visitation was held Thursday, April 10 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in  
Franklinton from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a family hour from 7 p.m. until 8  p.m.  

Funeral services were held April 11 at 2 p.m. at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist  
Church with Rev. A.J. Manning and Rev. John Smith officiating.
