(31 Aug 1997). He was a retired employee of the La. Dept. of Highways; a member of the Franklinton First Baptist Church. Mr. Crain is survived by three daughters, Charlene Stringield of Bogalusa, Shirley Sims of Little Rock, AR, and Linda Crain of Chalmette; six sisters, Inez Crain, Bessie M. Crain, Ilean Crain, Oma Crain, and Doris Fussell all of Franklinton and Dorothy Guy of Angie; ten grandchildren; fourteen great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lena Knight Crain; a daughter, Billie Faye Foster; his parents, McCauley C. Crain, and Luella Smith Crain; four brothers, Ewell Crain, Dolos J. Crain, Jesse Willard Crain and Hubert Crain. Visitation was held at Crain Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery at Sheridan. Pallbearers for the service were Thurman Knight, Delos Knight, Charles Ray Fussell, Keith Fussell, Jimmy Crain, Ralph Sims, Ray Knight, and Ernest Guy.
