He was a native of Franklinton and resident of Route Four Franklinton. He died December 29th in the Community Medical Center in Bogalusa.Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors are his widow, Azzie Louise (Tommie) Fisher, one son, one daughter, one brother, one sister. He was preceded in death by a brother, the late T. A. (Buddy) Fisher, two grandsons, Walter Scott Welch and Jacob Denson (Jay) Fisher. Barber, Benton, age 58. He died at Riverside Medical Center. Final rites were held January 1st, followed by interment in the Nobles Cemetery. He was a resident of Route Two, Mt. Hermon. Survivors are his widow, Ettly Barber, two sons, four daughters, one step daughter, three brothers, four sisters, sixteen grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and three great step grandchildren. LeDet, Junius J, age 44. He was a resident of Mt. Hermon, and died December 28th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Acey’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Marguerite LeBoeuf LeDet, one son, two daughters, three brothers, seven sisters, his mother, Lazida LeDet and two grandsons. Felix, Mrs. Herbert F. (Dorothy). She was a resident of Franklinton, and made her home in Whittier, California with her daughter. She died December 31st, and the body was scheduled to arrive at New Orleans on January 3rd. Pittman, Donald L., age 45. He was a resident of Cameron Parish and died December 27th in the South Cameron Memorial Parish Hospital. Interment was in the Enon Cemetery. He was a former resident of Enon. Survivors are his widow, Charlotte Rae Pittman, one son, one brother, two sisters, four nephews and two nieces. Pope, William Alcus, age 73 He was a resident of Bogalusa and died December 22nd in the Community Medical Center in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Oral Baptist Church Cemetery near Dexter, Mississippi. Survivors are three sons, a brother, a sister, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 1-11-1973 Givens, Perry Nathaniel, age 83. He was a former resident of Franklinton and died January 8th in the Seventh Ward Hospital in Hammond. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Launa S. Givens, four daughters, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Felix, Dorothy S. She died December 31st in Whittier, California. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert F. Felix. Survivors are two daughters, three grandchildren and three grandsons. 1-18-1973 Daniel, Mrs. W. D. (Clara Bateman), age 83. He was a resident of Route One Franklinton, and died January 16th at Heritage Manor. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are two sons, three daughters, one brother, two sisters, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Schilling, Everett. He died January 13th in Virginia. He was the brother of Mrs. James M. Burris and Paul Schilling. 1-25-1973 Jones, Emile F., age 85. He was a resident of Enon and died January 22 at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Enon Cemetery. Survivors are two sons, three daughters, one brother, two sisters, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Stringer, Woodrow Ottis, age 49. He was a resident of Parker Street and died January 18th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Elva Barber Stringer, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ottis Stringer, one son, two daughters, one brother, seven sisters and six grandchildren. Bateman, Huey Wayne, age 48. He was a former resident of Franklinton and died January 19th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Mary Stringer Bateman, his mother, Mrs. H. L. (Evie) Bateman, two sons, a daughter, one brother, one sister, one grandchild and three step grandchildren. Burch, Ronald David, age 21. He was a resident of Mt. Hermon and died an automobile accident on January 18th. Interment was in the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery. His father, the late Arnie Burch, preceded him in death only six months ago. Survivors are his mother, Irma Lee Burch and two sisters. Temple, Isaac Franklin, age 88. He was a resident of Simpson, Louisiana. widow, Susie Jackson Temple, two daughters, one brother, two sisters, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Ballard, Earlie L., age 70. He was a resident of Route Four, Franklinton and died January 21st at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the San Pedro Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are one son, three daughters, a sister, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 2-1-1973 Mahaffey, James D., age 86. He died January 26th at his home in Mt. Hermon. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery in Liberty, Mississippi. Survivors are his widow, Gracie Mahaffey, three sons, four daughters, eighteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Wilson, Mrs. Stanley (Katherine), age 80. Final rites held January 19th in Meridian, Mississippi. Interment was in the Magnolia Cemetery. Survivors are her husband, Stanley Wilson Jr., one son, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, a brother and one sister. Welch, Eugene Mason, age 71. He was a native of Franklinton and a resident of Bogalusa. He died January 24th in the Community Medical Center. Interment was in the Morris Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Minnie Lea Welch, a daughter, four sisters, a brother and two grandchildren. McMillan, Edward Emile, age 68. He was a native of Washington Parish and a resident of Tenth Avenue, Franklinton. He died January 29th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Gladys Richardson McMillan, one daughter, two grandchildren and a nephew. Miley, Fred C., age 66. He was a native of Franklinton and a resident of Bogalusa. He died January 22nd in the Community Medical Center in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Ponemah Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Lucy L. Miley, seven daughters, two sons, a sister, thirty two grandchildren and one great grandchild. 2-8-1973 Taylor, Ronald, age 29. He was a resident of Route Three, Franklinton. Interment was in the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Taylor, two brothers and two sisters. Kyzar, Virina, age 67. A native of Hammond and resident of Kemp Nursing Home in Ponchatoula, died February 1st at Seventh Ward General Hospital in Hammond. Interment was in Lanier Cemetery in Hammond. Survivors are one daughter, two sons, five sisters, two brothers and six grandchildren. Jenkins, Ernest (Runt), age 70. He was a native and resident of Franklinton. He died February 1st at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Edna Fairburn Jenkins, a daughter, three brothers, three sisters and four grandchildren. 2-15-1973 Green, Gussie, age 75. She died February 10th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Enon Cemetery. She was a native and resident of Enon. Survivors are a daughter, a son, a brother, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Welch, William Russell. He was in the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Carter Welch of Franklinton, and died February 9th at the Community Medical Center in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Morris Cemetery. Survivors are his parents, a brother, grandmothers, Mesdames Louis Welch and Walter Fisher, great grandparents, Minnie Lea and C. G. Manning. Wood, Effie Jenkins, age 85. She died January 7th at her home in Route Two Franklinton. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are one daughter, three sons, a sister, grandchildren and great grandchildren. King, Nancy Smith, age 81. She died February 8th at Heritage Manor in Franklinton. Interment was in the Smith Cemetery at Warnerton. She was a resident of Route Two Franklinton. Survivors are one son, one brother and one grandchild. Schilling, James D., age 86. He was a resident of Mt. Hermon, and died February 9th at Heritage Manor. Interment was in the Schilling Cemetery. Survivors are two sons, two brothers, one sister, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Burgess, Frances Nellene, age 46. She was a resident of Route Two, Mt. Hermon, and was killed in an automobile accident on February 8th. Interment was in the Midway Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Edwards, a son, a brother and four sisters. 2-22-1973 Hennesy, Curtis Monroe, age 68. He died in New Orleans on February 11th. He was a native of Franklinton. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Maude Bateman Hennesy, one son, a daughter, two brothers, one sister and three grandchildren. Ard, Paul Adrian, age 28. He was a former Franklinton resident, and died February 13th in Bogalusa. Interment was in the San Pedro Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Gayle Holiday Ard, a son, a daughter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Ard, three brothers and three sisters. Simmons, Allie Mae Sharp, age 75. She was a resident of Canoga, California, and died February 14th in Parkwood Hospital in Northridge, California. Interment was in the Simmons Cemetery at Mt. Hermon. Survivors are her four sons, five daughters, four brothers, two sisters and seventeen grandchildren. McKenzie, Lizzie Brumfield, age 79. She was a native and lifelong resident of Pike County, and died February 11th in the Walthall General Hospital in Tylertown. Survivors are five daughters, three sons, two sisters, twenty-seven grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. Singleton, Nancy S., age 78. She was a former resident of Franklinton, and died February 14th in Baton Rouge. Interment was in the Foil- Stringfield Cemetery. Survivors are one son, two sisters and three brothers. Thomas, Ruth C., age 55. She was a resident of Route Five, Franklinton, and died February 15th in the Washington-St. Tammany Charity Hospital in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Thomas Cemetery. Survivors are her husband, McKinley Thomas, five sons, one daughter, two brothers and eight grandchildren. 3-1-1973 Sullivan, Charles Henry “C. H.”, age 56. He was a native of Franklinton and long-time resident of Bogalusa. Interment was in the Ponemah Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Lauretta Sullivan, a son, two daughters, his mother, Ella Sullivan, five brothers, two sisters, a half-brother, a half-sister and seven grandchildren. Hall, Velma Barkley, age 81. She was a former resident of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and died February 22nd at Heritage Manor in Franklinton. Interment was in Highland Cemetery in Kansas. Survivors are two daughters, a son, two brothers, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Kuhn, Barney E., age 67. He was a resident of Bogalusa, and died February 18th. Interment was in the Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogalusa. Survivors are his wife, Ruth Kuhn, eight daughters, five sons, a brother, two half-brothers, two sisters, mother, Catherine Odom, 37 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Schilling, Mrs. Charles (Leona), age 91. She was a resident of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and formerly of the Mt. Hermon-Sunny Hill area, and died February 22nd. Interment was in the Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. She was the mother of two children. Carson, Lynn Evans, age 65. He was a native of Prescott, Arizona and resident of New Orleans, and died February 4th. Interment was in the Smith Cemetery in Warnerton. He is survived by his widow, Elsie Miller Carson, two daughters, two sons, a brother and seven grandchildren. 3-15-1973 Pope, Ray Edward, age 48. He was a resident of Route Two, Franklinton and a veteran of World War II, died March 11th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Simmons’ Cemetery in Sheridan. Survivors are his widow, Margie Pope, three daughters, his mother, Linda Pope, two brothers and two grandsons. Miller, Miss Betty Ruth, age 40. A long-time resident of Mt. Hermon died March 10th. Interment was in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are her mother, Zula Mae Miller, four brothers and two sisters. Hill, Mary Jane, age 75. She died March 9th at Riverside Medical Center. She was a resident of Warnerton. Interment was in the State Line Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Survivors are her husband, Allen Hill, five sons, two daughters, one brother, two sisters, sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. 3-22-1973 Frey, Mrs. Fred C. “Willie Mae Jones”. A former resident of Franklinton, died March 14th at her home in Baton Rouge. Interment was in the Roselawn Cemetery. Preceding her in death were four brothers, Judge Robert D. Jones, Will, Walter and Frank Jones and two sisters, Miss Myrtis Jones and Mrs. Joyce J. Hoffman. Survivors are her husband, three daughters and a son. Varnado, James Jewel, age 66. A former Franklinton Resident, he died March 14th at the Community Medical Center in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Ponemah Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Wilma P. Varnado, two sons, one daughter, one brother and eight grandchildren. Shell, Mrs. W. E. (Essie Foil), age 87. A native of Washington Parish, died March 14th at Midway Manor Nursing Home in Shreveport. Interment was in the cemetery at Grayson, Louisiana. Survivors are her husband, three sons, two daughters, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters. Brock, Mrs. Jessie Mae, age 83. A resident of Mt. Hermon, she died March 14th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are three sons, two daughters and one brother. 3-29-1973 Simmons, Joe Reid, age 81. A native and resident of Mt. Hermon died March 20th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. Survivors are four sons, three daughters, sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Stafford, Murrell Newton, age 81. A native of Washington Parish and long-time resident of Jennings, La., died March 22nd in Lake Charles. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors are his widow, Ellie Flournoy Stafford, one son, one daughter, three grandchildren, five sisters and four brothers. Smith, WO-2 Jessie W., age 34. He died March 23rd at the Naval Base Hospital at San Diego, California. Interment was in the National Cemetery in Port Hudson, La. Survivors are his widow, Mary Smith, two sons, his mother, Mrs. Jake Smith, two brothers and three sisters. McClurry, Oletia Rainey. She died in the Centerville Hospital in Centerville, Mississippi. Final rites were held March 18th in Ponchatoula. Interment was in the Wetmoore Cemetery in Ponchatoula. Survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Rainey, her husband, Leonce McClurry, three daughters, three sons, six sisters, twenty-one grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 4-5-1973 Roberts, C. B. “Boss”, age 71. A resident of Washington Parish, died at his home on Route One, Mt. Hermon on April 6th. Interment was in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Doris Miller Roberts, two sons, a daughter and one grandchild. Simmons, Leroy, age 61. A native of Franklinton and resident of Jackson, Mississippi, died April 3rd. Interment was in the Lakewood Cemetery. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles, his parents, Mrs. Ida Self and Martin Simmons, one brother, Ottis Simmons. Survivors are his widow, Louise Dean Simmons, three sons, two sisters and three brothers. Magee, Charles M., age 75. A resident of Route Five, Franklinton, he died April 8th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Magee Cemetery. Survivors are one son, a daughter, a sister, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. 5-3-1973 Allen, Letha Seal, age 49. She died at her home on 16th Avenue in Franklinton, on April 27th. Interment was in the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are her husband, Ellie Allen, three sons, three brothers, four sisters and four grandchildren. Duncan, Eulon W., age 72. A native of Mt. Hermon died in Riverside Medical Center on April 11th. Interment was in the Midway Pentecostal Church. Survivors are his widow, Ruby Duncan, one son, two daughters, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one sister and one brother. Babers, Michael Stephen, age 19. He died April 25th in the Baton Rouge General Hospital. Graveside rites were held at the family cemetery at Laurel Hill. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bertram F. Barbers, III of Baton Rouge and Laurel Hill in West Feliciana, four sisters, his grandmothers, Vida Pelayo Babers, Mrs. Lawrence Green, his great grandmothers, Mrs. Sidney Marion Pelayo and Mrs. John F. Carter. 5-10-1973 Cutrer, Walter Louis. A native of Greensburg and former resident of Franklinton, died April 28th. Interment was in the Greensburg Cemetery. Survivors are his father, John T. Cutrer, three sisters and four brothers. Dixon, Clifford C., age 50. A resident of Marrero died May 2nd at West Jefferson Hospital. Interment was in the Enon Cemetery. He was a former resident of Enon. Survivors are his widow, Virgie Dixon, two sons, one daughter, one grandson, mother, Nina Mae Dixon, two sisters and one brother. Jones, Starling Boyd, age 57. A native of Enon, died May 7th at the Community Medical Center in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Morris Cemetery in Franklinton. Survivors are his widow, Helen Jones, a daughter, a son, five grandchildren and two brothers. 5-17-1973 Richard, Lawrence “Skippy”. A resident of Norco died May 8th. Interment was in the Charles Mausoleum in Destrehan. Survivors are his wife, Louise Robichaux Richard, sons, a daughter, sisters, and eight grandchildren. Creel, Wayne. He died May 10th in Jackson, La. Burial was in Jackson, La. Survivors are his widow, seven children, four brothers, six sisters, two uncles and two aunts. Erwin, Vernon Ottis (Joe), age 48. A resident of Franklinton, died May 14th at the Memorial Hospital in Slidell. Interment was in the Stoney Point Cemetery. Survivors are two brothers and three sisters. Harvey, John Phillip, age 25. A resident of Baton Rouge drowned May 12th in False River in Pointe Coupee Parish. Interment was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Betty Jean Holliday Harvey, two daughters, a brother and a half brother, a sister and three half sisters, his father, W. P. Harvey, mother, Mrs. Jimmy Threasher, paternal grandfather, Percy Dedon, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ettley Barber. Gougenheim, Lizette Richardson, age 99. She died May 10th at her home in Morgan City, La. Interment was in the Morgan City Cemetery. Survivors are four children, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Smith, Mrs. Sid L. (Sarah). Final rites will be conducted May 17th, with interment in the Fisher Cemetery. 5-24-1973 Holliday, Reffie, age 48. A resident of Mt. Hermon died May 19th in a Kentwood Hospital. Interment was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Survivors are his mother, Modie Holliday, three sisters and two half sisters. Magee, Donald Newton (D. N.), age 64. A native of Washington Parish and former resident of Franklinton, died May 17th at his home in Texas. He was the son of the late Fannie Varnado and D. N. Magee. Final rites were conducted in Texas. Survivors are his widow, Corrine Coyne Magee, two daughters and six sisters. Smith, Mrs. Sid L. (Sarah), also known as “Sister”, age 94. A long-time Franklinton resident, died May 16th in Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Fisher Cemetery. Survivors are one daughter, two brothers, one sister, two grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Creel, Edna Crowe, age 75. A resident of Franklinton, died May 19th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Fisher Cemetery. Survivors are one daughter, a brother, a sister and two grandchildren. 5-31-1973 Bond, Brantley E. (Pete), age 58. A resident of the Stoney Point Community, died May 23rd at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Stoney Point Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Thelma Passman Bond, one daughter, two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren. Magee, Agnes Wood, age 78. A resident of Bickham Street, she died May 25th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are her husband, H. Prentiss Magee, two daughters, one brother, four sisters, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. 6-7-1973 Morris, Robert, age 82. A resident of Mt. Hermon died May 31st in the Walthall County General Hospital in Tylertown. Interment was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Tena Miller Morris, one son, five daughters, one brother, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Lynch, Mrs. H. J. (Margaret Starns), age 74. A native of Louisiana and resident of Baton Rouge died May 31st in the Baton Rouge General Hospital. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survivors are one daughter, two sons, a sister, a brother, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wood, John R., age 74. A native of Franklinton and long-time resident of Bogalusa died June 3rd in the Community Medical Center in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Hillview Memorial Gardens. Survivors are his widow, Maggie B. Wood, one daughter, two sisters and grandchildren. Gill, Lula Dee, age 47. A resident of Route Two, Mt. Hermon, died June 3rd at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Seal Cemetery in Varnado. Survivors are one daughter two brothers and three sisters. Bankston, Infant. Graveside rites for the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Harold Bankston of Franklinton were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Stoney Point Cemetery. In addition to the parents, survivors include one sister, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Crain and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Bankston. 6-14-1973 Morris, William Buell, age 60. A resident of Route two, Mt. Hermon, died June 19th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Margaret Bateman Morris, one son, his mother, Tena Miller Morris and five sisters. 6-21-1973 Magee, Henry Prentiss, age 79. He died June 10th at his Franklinton home, just nineteen days after the death of his wife, Agnes Wood Magee. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are two daughters, four sisters, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Shoemaker, Joe M., age 29. A resident of New Sarpy, La., died June 18th at Ochsner’s Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. Interment was in the State Line Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Nell Beard Shoemaker, one son, one daughter, one brother and two sisters. Babington, Robert, age 87. A native of Franklinton, he died June 13th at the Coast Convalescent Home in Biloxi, Ms. Survivors are his widow, Leta Stewart Babington, one son, two daughters, one brother, three sisters, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 6-28-1973 Bateman, Ezekiel Ellis, age 66. Native and lifelong resident of Route Six, Franklinton, died June 26th at McGehee Clinic in Franklinton. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Miller, Lindsey L., age 59. A native and resident of Mt. Hermon and Jackson, La., died June 20th. Interment was in the Morris Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Odilee Alford Miller, 5 daughters, one son, three sisters, two brothers and twenty-seven grandchildren. 7-5-1973 McClendon, Josephine, age 84. A native of Mt. Hermon died June 28th at Walthall County General Hospital in Tylertown. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Mt. Hermon. A native and life-long resident of Route Six, Franklinton and died June 26th at McGehee Clinic in Franklinton. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Lucy Smith Bateman, three sons, one daughter, a brother and eight grandchildren. Sylvest, Vince E., age 63. A native of Franklinton and long-time resident of Baton Rouge died June 29th. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survivors are his widow, Mary Gleason Sylvest, three daughters, three sons, five sisters, four brothers, several aunts and uncles and grandchildren. 7-12-1973 Beard, Malcus W., age 60. A native of Washington Parish and a resident of New Sarpy, La., died July 5th at Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans. Interment was in State Line Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Gracie W. Hermon died at Villa Felicina Nursing Home in Jackson, La. on July 3rd. Interment was in the Bogue Chitto Cemetery. Survivors are two brothers, a sister and a foster daughter. Babington, Florence, age 57. A resident of Bogalusa died at Wiley Institute of Molecular Medicine in Dallas, TX. Final rites were conducted July 9th in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are her husband, Roy Babington, her mother, Lillie Woodward, three daughters, a son, two sisters, two brothers and fourteen grandchildren. 7-19-1973 Moore, Blanche W., age 91. A native of Conecub County, Al., and long- time resident of Franklinton, died July 14th at her home on Main Street. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. She was survived by her daughter, Miss Marie Moore. 8-9-1973 Smith, Warren C., age 52. A resident of Parker Street, died July 31st. Interment was in the Ponemah Cemetery. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. ee (Janie) Holmes, one brother and three sisters. Brumfield, John Atney, age 66. He died July 31st at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Hays Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Washington Parish. Survivors are his widow, Veda McDaniel Brumfield, six sons, one step daughter, three brothers, four sisters, twenty-six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. DeLaughter, Jewell B., age 73. A resident of Tylertown, Ms., died August 4th at Riverside Medical Center from an automobile accident. Funeral services were held in Tylertown. Survived by two sons, two daughters, two brothers, a sister, two stepdaughters, twelve grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two great grandchildren. DeLaughter, Arie Ann. Funeral services were held August 5th in Tylertown. She died in an automobile accident. A resident of Route Two, Franklinton, died August 11th in Ochsner’s Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. Interment was in the Bethel Church Cemetery. A native of Washington Parish and resident of Route Six Franklinton, died August 11th in the Presbyterian Rest Home in Homer, La. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. He died August 17th in the Veterans’ Administration in Biloxi, Ms. Interment was in Stevens Cemetery. Hermon, died August 24th in the Community Medical Center in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Jewel T. A resident of Covington died September 3rd at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington. Interment was in the Magee Cemetery in Franklinton. Survivors are his widow, Dorothy Magee Padwa, one son, one daughter and three brothers. Sawyer, Mary Forbes, age 82. She was born in Old Marion County, Ms. and the daughter of Alfred and Abbie Passman Forbes. She married Ben Sawyer, who preceded her in death. She was a former resident of Bogalusa and resident at Heritage Manor in Franklinton. She died September 4th. Interment was in Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown. Survivors are four sons, one daughter, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Rigdon, Arthur F., age 64. A resident of Route Four, Franklinton, died September 10th. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Colleen Magee Rigdon, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barney E. Rigdon, two sons, one daughter and two sisters. Simmons, Lillian Valloft, age 72. A native of Franklinton, died September 7th at Hotel Dieu in New Orleans. She was the wife of the late Barrett P. Simmons. Interment was in St. Louis Cemetery No. Three. Bankston, Della Miller, age 86. A resident of Route Six, Franklinton, died September16th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. He died September 20th at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Bogalusa. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Hermon. A resident of Green Street, Franklinton, he died September 24th at Riverside Medical Center. Interment was in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. He was a resident of Route Two Franklinton, and died on October 2nd at the home of his daughter. Interment was in the Seal Cemetery. A resident of Del Prado Parkway, Cape Coral, Florida, died October 4th at Lee Memorial Hospital. Interment was in the Bogue Chitto Church Cemetery. The infant son of former Franklinton residents, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Stafford, now of Warwick, Rhode Island, died on October 8th in the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. She was born January 25, 1904 to W. W. and Mima Magee Babington. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Covington. She died December 2nd at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. She died December 9th at Riverside Medical Center. She was a long-time resident of the Sunny Hill Community and was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Magee and three sons.
