Hermon Jermaine LaQuwan Dabney Jr., age 1 year old, died on Sunday, November 5, 2000. He was a resident of Vernon School Road in Mt. Hermon, LA. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Trotter of Mt. Hermon and his father, Jermaine Dabney Sr., of Franklinton, LA; one sister, Antoine Jena Williams of Mt. Hermon; grandparents, Shifenia Dabney of Chicago, IL; Jo Ann Trotter of Mt. Hermon and Joe Trotter of New Orleans. Also survived by a host of aunt, uncles, other relatives and friends. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Chapel A.M.E. Church in Kentwood, LA. The Reverend Frank Washington officiated. Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hollis ‘Porky’ Stogner Jr., Franklinton Hollis ‘Porky’ Stogner Jr., age 33 and a resident of Sun, LA, formerly of Franklinton, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, in a trucking accident near Enon. He was an employee of G&S Trucking of Franklinton. He is survived by his parents, Hollis Sr., and Fannie Schilling Stogner of Franklinton; three daughters, Brandy Stogner of Pine, Brittney Stogner and Whitney Stogner, both of Sun. Also survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Rusty Magee of Franklinton; two nephews, Jeremy and Joshua Magee and his fiance’, Tammy Hoover of Sun. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. A funeral service was held in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Pat Miller officiating. Pallbearers were Gray Hoover, Vick Sheridan, Wayne Passman, Jimmy Smith, Perry Sharp, Darrell Jenkins, Sonny Ryle and Stanley Schilling. Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy and Joshua Magee.
